WONDERFUL hotel
I came across this hotel on yahoo travel, and decided to book it. The price was much more reasonable than any other hotels in the area. We were flying out the next morning from Boston, so we were looking for something within a reasonable distance. Portsmouth is lovely, and a wonderful place to stop.
We were shocked and amazed that such a small "motor inn" could be so clean and classy. The rooms are incredibly clean, with very nice furnishings. The bathrooms are luxurious, with granite, hair dryers, and lovely shampoos, teas and coffee service. The beds were very comfortable, with double sheets, and feather pillows. The gentlemen at the front desk was extremely helpful. He recommended a wonderful place for dinner. He was available to answer any question, anytime. Unfortunately, due to diet restrictions, we did not have the breakfast at the hotel- it consisted of gourmet pastries, scones, and danishes. It looked incredible. Instead, when I told him of my diet restrictions, he recommended a place down the street, that was wonderful!
The only very minor complaint we had, was that they had disconnected the AC (it was in fact winter) but we got very hot in the room, and had no way to turn the fan on. We had to open the window for a while instead. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone and we would definately return.
