Terrible Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/19/08
They lied about the price of the hotel on the phone and then would not claim responsibility at check out when they charged me much more than the price given on the phone. I cannot prove what they said, so I am out over a hundred dollars! Never stay here!

Nice facility, but walls too thin...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/01/08
Excellent facility, however, super thin walls and could hear people next door coughing and footsteps of people upstairs. Studio was spacious, clean, and well equipped partial kitchen. Ample free parking, 1 minute walking distance to the lake, 3 minute drive to Harrah's hotel and the gondola... very convenient resort!! also room key card required to access the building gave a secure feel. for $160 per night (peak holiday time) it was an OK deal, but next time I think I'd try someplace else that would allow us to get a better nights sleep. Its a very nice resort at a very convenient location, unfortunately the walls were just constructed too thin...

Decent Rooms, Poor Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/26/07
Our first impression of this place was a very accurate foreshadowing of our stay to come. As soon as we arrived, the people at the check-in desk were extremely rude, and it took them about 30 minutes to check us in. We got to the rooms and they were decent (pretty spacious, the basic amenities), however are certain things to complain about. The DVD player was in the bedroom, and when I tried moving it to the living room, I realized it was bolted to the TV Set. I think the most disturbing part of our stay was the plethora of unreasonable rules. First of all, the main recreation room (pool table, foosball table, big screen TV) and the main workout room have operating hours from 10am to 10pm. I was expecting these to be loosely enforced and wanted to play pool at 10:15. THEY LOCK THE DOORS so no one can use the room after 10PM. I decided that i could go into the outdoor jaccoozi instead, only to find out that the jaccoozi gate is locked from 10pm to 10am! I would have gone in anyway if there was not a guard patrolling the premises and enforcing these rules. To top it all off, (even though i am not a smoker) they have extremely strict smoking policies. This means, that even outside of the building (in the parking lot or in the gardens) they will fine you 300 dollars for smoking. I witnessed someone get in trouble for smoking in the parking lot and almost receive that 300 dollar fine. The location was good and the rooms are pretty well equpped (towels, plates, silverware, coffee) however the service is extremely lacking. If you plan on falling asleep by 10 pm every single night and have no problem dealing with a rude concierge then you would have no problem staying here. Otherwise, I would avoid this place for the many other hotels in the area.

Great Place
By Christina Ray, 10/04/07
I have been coming to TBSC for over 20 years now...and I have been doing this since I was 5. This is a great place to take kids on vacation...they have things all week for adults and kids. I have to say this is a great place, and very clean and friendly staff.

For the neat freaks
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/29/07
I'm obsessed with cleanliness and this hotel definitely passed the test. Everything was clean and spotless. Location was great and close to skiing, shopping and ice skating. We went with a group of people and everyone liked the place. The only problem most of us had was the heating. There was just no way to get the perfect room temperature. Overall, the place was perfect and I would definitely stay at this place again.

Already Plan to Return!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/08/06
The activities director is friendly and has a great attitude. The concierge was helpful as well. The entire staff was great. The location is prime. It's a less than 5 minute drive to the casinos. While at the TB&SC, where the walkway ends the sand begins to a private beach equipped with lounge chairs. The units are also equipped with a VHS and DVD player and the front office has movies for rent ($3 ea.). The office also offers complimentary coffee and tea service and hot chocolate or hot apple cider with cookies and apples. My son was kept entertained. He and I enjoyed the personalities of the staff and location very much. I just came back from TB&SC on Sunday. Today is Wednesday and I already booked my next reservation. We're looking forward to it.

Wonderful location and staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/25/06
Excellent location and helpful staff. We were there w/ our daughter w/ major medical needs and they were wonderful to us. Some double level condos have elevator access to upper floor. Highly recommended.

unhelpful, but overall ok
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/20/06
we called three times for early check in, including the morning of our arrival. front desk had no record of our request, sat in the lobby for 1 hour while they made up the room. other than that we had no interaction with staff. weird design to this hotel. we had a room that slept 6, crampt with the shower open to the master bedroom. ok if you just need a place to crash.

a great place to stay
By Jessica, 07/12/05
my husband and i stayed 2 nights at tahoe beach & ski in a studio room. the room was clean and nicely decorated. it had a balcony, tv/vcr, kitchen, sofa, dining table, and a large bath. the room was clean and well maintained. we were only steps away from the lake and took advantage of the beautiful views from the hot tub and pool. they provide you with a program directory of what's going on that week at the club and around town. the hotel offered a spa nite during our stay--very relaxing. the staff was friendly and helpful. there is a restaurant/bar located in the front of the club. tahoe beach and ski is conveniently located near lots of different activities, shops, and restaurants. i highly recommend tahoe beach and ski as the place to stay while in south lake tahoe.
