the dirty truth........
My recent review disappeared. This hotel is extremely dirty, really showing it's age. We had no drain cover on the bathtub(and it drained poorly), and light colored socks became black. I cleaned the inside of our window, it was filthy and streaked. The staff is rude and only caters to the airline guests, who they have contracts with(doesn't mean that the airline people just love staying there, they don't have a choice). The shuttle is non-existent for regular guests, airline employess get first service, in all things. We were left catching cabs(and not once did a cab arrive when the hotel called, we would wait, then take off and catch one away from the hotel, they seemed to like the Starbucks across the street)from the hotel and back, and that's pricey depending on where you are on the strip, and how the driver gets you there. I have no ax to grind with this hotel, just thought that others should be warned. And as for it being dog friendly, it isn't, you are told it is when you reserve, bur are asked to sign a form when you check in saying that you will not leave your dog in the room alone. I don't go to Vegas to stay in the room, I go for business, and often. I know the city and the hotels well, and this is one to avoid. There are MANY family friendly hotels off the strip, and other pet friendly places to choose from. (PS I did complain to the staff, they brushed everything off, I called the 1-800#, twice, and never received a response to my complaints.)
