At least I didn't barf
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/5/05
I did not stay at the Fremont , but came to the champagne brunch. The champagne was cheap but came with a bottomless plastic "glass" and did the job that I had intended. The roast beef was awesome and was like a skinny prime rib. Their scalloped potatos were to die for. The drawbacks were that the main things I came for besides a cheap drunk were disgusting. The smoked salmon for the bagels had dark spots which are a sure sign of being "cooked" wether by fast defrosting or poor handling. Lox is supposed to be smoked , not broiled. The peel and eat shrimp looked great as it was covered in a seasoning that looked like "old bay". Much to my dismay all of the parts of the shrimp that were exposed out of the shell were mush. Shrimp cooks very quickly, this shrimp was forgotten in the steamer for much too long. my advice is to get a plate with little samples of a lot of stuff . That way you can go back and get whatever isn't nasty that day.

Good Value, Basics Covered
By Michael, 8/24/09
Most reviews are dead on about this place. Obviously refurbished and in good shape. Helpful, friendly staff. I requested a room away from Fremont and on a high floor but got just the opposite anyway. Perhaps that's all $36/night will buy? The 'experience' is quite loud, so try and get a quiet room if you go to bed anywhere before midnight. The promo photos show flat screen TV's but ours was standard and had poor sound. The bathrooms are small, yes, but well appointed. The casino is also small, but there's all of Downtown to gamble in, so why let that be a problem? Our room had two beds but only one extra blanket (which we didn't discover till middle of the night). There is no self parking, but the valet is free (except for tipping). The Paradise Buffet is good, but nothing extraordinary. The place is very popular with Hawaiians for some reason, so with little effort you might pretend you had gone to Waikiki instead.

DON'T GAMBLE THERE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/16/11
One of the slots malfunctioned and I lost 108.00. The staff said they knew that was right, but they were unable to do anything about it. So we lost money that we didn't even gamble. The only gamble was going to the Freemont casino.. Do yourself a favor and don't gamble there.

Luv It!!
By Bad Speller!, 6/18/09
My husband and I stayed here in April of 09, to celebrate his 40th B-day. We had never stayed on Fremont St. before. We LOVED it! The hotel as nice and clean. The room would be too small for more than two people, but perfect for two. The rooms have been remodeled, very nice carpet, and headboards. Did not hear any noise from Fremont St. experiance when we we're sleeping. We will never stay on the strip again. The service @ all the casino's we visited was great. We could always get a drink! Plus, you can easily walk from one casino to another. We enjoyed our stay @ the Fremont, and a friend and I are going back in Aug., for the four free nights they have already sent us!

Beautiful Hotel for All!
By CynthiaH., 12/19/08
The accommodations were comfortable and beautiful! It was so inexpensive and I didn't expect anything nice at all but it was a pleasant surprise to so how classy the lobby and rooms were. The casino had lots of food and games available at all hours and was in an awesome location next to the Fremont Experience. This is definitely the place to stay if you're going to be downtown!

Its cool for what you pay for
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/15/08
So myself and 3 other girls stayed her cause we wanted to save money. It's not as bad as everyone says. Sure the lobby smelled like smoke horribly, but the smell went away once you got up stairs... then again all the hotels lobbys smelled like smoke. The rooms was clean and the buffet was awsome. free champagne.. although it was very cheap tasting... but in Vegas.. who cares it's free! the bus came right next to the hotel so thats how we got to the strip. It was cool. Also the light show was easy access as well as Mermaids which is a casino that sells fried Oreos...mmmm! Over all.. If you want to enjoy Vegas and not break the bank, stay here. You can visit all the expensive hotels for free.

Waiting to make reservation for November 07th to november 12th 2008 .
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/5/07
I like this place, for it meets my every thing that I expect of Las Vegas. Also it is so centralized, I can find any casino within a short, walking distance. It also full fills my hunger pains within my reach. I am still trying, to qualify to become a GOLD CARD holder permanently. I've been trying but haven't qualified yet. Please inform me what I need to qualify. Your immediate response will be highly appreciated. Sincerely, Valentino L. Tanodra

Reservations do not mean much
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/14/08
After making a reservation at the Fremont eight months in advance, our group of eight found ourselves with nothing available that resembled our initial reservation. The only type of rooms that were availalbe were King size, smoking rooms; needless to say, the reservations were for non-smoking rooms. While previous experience with Boyd hotels were satisfactory, this one was absolutley terrible. Luckily, we were able to find accomodations at the Golden Nugget for a slightly higher price, but well worth the dollar....the room were fabulous, staff and dealers were pleasant...definitely a big step up from the "Fremont Hotel" experience.
