Crown Motel, Kings Beach

I arrived at tahoe around 7 PM at president weekend and had checked several other hotels which had no vacancy. Then we spotted Crown Motel and parked our car at the road side, went into their office, were greeted by a very friendly gentleman. Luckily they had exactly the room available we desired at a price lower than we expected. The rooms are very clean and everything available especially free internet.

I love the 2 pools one is warm and one is not. The people are really nice and it has good service. The hotel is clean. I would reccommend this to all travelers and vacationers that visit Lake Tahoe.

Great rates on great rooms - we stayed in a pair of Lake-view rooms with King-size beds for something like $90 a night (off-peak), booked only a few days in advance. Worth calling to find out, and if you track down their website you can see a map of the facility, with clickable pictures of the rooms.

This place was a great find, especially for being the weekend before Valentine's Day. Unlike many other hotels around the Tahoe area, this motel didn't put up an outrageous price for a standard room, which some places were asking for over $100 per night. But besides the price, the location of the motel relative to many of the big name and lesser known ski spots was fabulous, which lends itself nicely to the fact that the office sells lift tickets to their guests for a cheaper price than the ski resorts price them at. Another plus was the surrounding area was filled with great food and extremely helpful people, especially at Tahoe Dave's and Jason's. Most importantly, the service at the motel was excellent with great recommendations of places to go to and unbelievable hospitality and prompt service to address any concerns or questions you may have. Also, there's a hot tub that youand your loved one(s) can enjoy privately with a great view of the lake. Overall, this is a place that I'd be willing to stay at again and again.

Kings beach is a great location- centrally on the north shore. The Crown Motel is modest, comfortable, clean and affordable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hot tub is great! Dont' forget to eat at Jason's down the street.
