big disappointment
By Alice, 7/3/12
The web site was so inviting to stay here but when got there OMG ! This was to be our best motel to stay on our much anticipated once in a lifetime trip. Had decided to stay several day til we pulled up and the windows were covered with paper. The desk clerk was totally rude and would not let us cancel our reservation. Come to find out the restaurant/casino had been closed since 10/11. There was no gift shop, no food available at the hotel and nowhere to relax after the day spent in Yellowstone Park. The info in the website is not correct The room was small and had a window that looked out over the roof of the entrance and also didn't have a screen on it so we could enjoy the cool air. It was a total disappointment for the money it cost us. The only bright spot was a nice breakfast and a person who hosted it. He was full of information about the area. Don't pay their prices and don't believe their website.

The best part of the trip
By Princess Di, 1/8/10
My husband, my mom and I took a two week trip to the West in July. We stayed at the Stage Coach Inn for three nights and really enjoyed the quaintness of the hotel. It is an older hotel so the rooms aren't really big and it is older but that is what I found so charming about the place. We also thought that it was perfectly located to Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park. The little town was full of great shops and awesome eateries. This will be a place that I will stay in again if I am ever back in Montana.

Quiet downstairs!
By Billy, 6/23/08
When we first checked in we thought this place would be great. However, we later learned that our room was above the bar (about half the rooms are). Apparently this bar/casino brings in a lot of money because they don't care that hotel guests have to listen to the very loud music until 2:00 a.m. If you call and tell them it's too noisy they will let you change rooms if you don't mind packing up all your stuff in the middle of the night, and if you're lucky enough that there are rooms available. Also, our non-smoking room had bar/casino smoke smell anyway. I think the only way to avoid this is to pay extra for the "premium" rooms. Apparently, to the folks at the stagecoach in, "premium" means you are allowed a decent night's sleep.

No problems here
By Russ Q, 1/9/08
Loved the location and the atmosphere inside was great. I stay there every year in Jan. and take in the snow that comes with the Montana winter. The night life in the lounge is a definite plus.

small and smelly
By LaDonna, 5/23/07
the rooms were so small, cramped and smelly. the bar was under our room so we had continuous noise and the lovely "smokey bar" smell for our entire stay. The lights, air conditioner and some outlets did not work. I would rather camp out in a tent than stay there again...grizzly bears and all!

We'll be sure to stay here next time
By meridian1957, 2/17/07
My husband and I loved staying at the Stagecoach Inn, the room we had was quite comfortable, the location was perfect, close to downtown without being on the Main drag. We only ate breakfast at the restaurant, but the food and service was good. The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. After a day of snowmobiling, the two hot tubs and sauna were delightful. My husband enjoyed the poker table in the lounge in the evening, and the lounge itself was hopping, and fortunately the noise level didn't carry. A very nice place, all in all, and I liked the price too!

Run Forrest Run!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/17/05
The fire alarm went off. Probably due to an electrical shortage in the kitchen or bar area. Person came to room smelled the smoke and left. Manager came to room said the room was OK. Thought the mananger was could care less about this situation.

don't ever stay here
By Patrick, 5/12/05
This hotel is filthy and the staff is rude. The first room I was in was stinky and loud. The rude desk host gave me another room and when I turned down the sheets there was blood on them and blood on the bedspread. When I called and informed the desk host she was even more rude and it took over an hour to get clean sheets. The lobby was full of smoking and drinking gamblers (from the hotel casino) who made noise all night. Will never ever go back.
