RUN! Don't go!
By Angie, 08/31/09
This place is a joke! First off the staff was nice. That is where the positives end! We booked cabin 600 months ago and were excited based on the positive reviews. We got there and the couch was torn up, the cabin was dusty, the floors were shot, the walls were paper thin to the point where when my son in the other room (all 40lbs of him) rolled over it woke me up. There is no wood burning stove as written on their website. The front porch was pitched so much that I tripped a couple times. There is NO view!!!!!! The cars go down the dirt road so fast that it is very noisy in the early am and late evening. The washer and dryer would have been great if the dryer didn't squeak so loud that it gave us all chills. Don't count on the wifi in the lobby for anything. It is slow and drops you. Cell phones are spotty there. I have verizon and had some reception my husband has AT&T and had no coverage. The hotsprings were a great temp, but it was NOT at all family friendly!!! There were beer cups from one side of the pool to the other. There were people all over each other and cussing, loud, obnoxious behavior in the evening. I am pretty easy going as a parent, but there were some things that I don't think 6 year olds should know about yet. I had to explain the 'f bomb' to them on the drive back to the cabin. (don't plan on walking if it is dark because there is no light on any trails) Last but not least the bugs! OMG the bugs!!!!!! Everytime you opened the front door you have to turn off all the lights and open and close fast and you still get a million moths in the cabin. The manager tried to make it right, but really we just should have left. I wish there had been someplace to go.

HAUNTED THIRD FLOOR!!!!
By Lisa Mauvor, 06/29/09
****PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE RESERVING A ROOM AT CHICO!!!**** THE POOL IS GREAT BUT STAY OUT OF THE MAIN LODGE!!! ESPECIALY THE THIRD FLOOR! WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT THE THIRD FLOOR BEING HAUNTED IS NO BULL! WE HEARD WISPERS IN OUR EARS AS IF SOMEONE WAS RIGHT NEXT TO US....IT SOUNDED LIKE A MIDDLE AGED MAN...THE VOICE KEPT REPETING " TAKE CARE OF MOMMY".... AND IN THE MIRRORS AT THE TOP OF THE STAIRS WE SAW ABNORMAL FLASHES APPEAR AND VANISH BEHIND US....NOT ONE OF US WAS ABLE TO SLEEP.... WE WILL NEVER STAY AGAIN

We are going back in June '09
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/13/09
A very family friendly place with a laid back atmosphere. Great place to relax after the rigors of Yellowstone. I would recommend it to all.

Coule live here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/05/09
Liked it all here. the location is gorgeous, the people are very nice, the distance to and from Yellowstone are perfect. the food even at the poolside grille is good and very good price. I didnt eat any of the fancy dinners, because we had our children, and they are pretty high for already paying to stay there. the options there are good. my daughter went for a horseback ride and loved it. the pools are wonderful. open early and are filled newly every morning. good drinks from the bar, and the people that stay there are also very friendly. thanks, cant wait to return again!!

Was very dissappointed
By Sylvia C, 03/29/09
When making our reservation, it was never mentioned that the pools would be empty. The name is what?? Chico Hot Springs. For the money we spent we were very disappointed in the reactions from the front desk to the management responses to our flopped weekend get away.

FUN FOR SINGLES AND FAMILIES
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/08/07
I LOVE THIS PLACE. THE PEOPLE ARE SO MUCH FUN. I WAS ALWAYS SINGLE/ALONE WHEN I WENT TO CHICO HOT SPRINGS AND THE STAFF ALWAYS MADE ME FEEL SO COMFORTABLE, THEY MADE ME FEEL LIKE THEY WERE GLAD I WAS THERE. I NEVER FELT ALL ALONE WHEN I WAS THERE. BRUCE THE BARTENDER WAS GREAT. LOVE YOUR NACHOS. WHEN I LIVED IN MONTANA I VISITED YOUR PLACE EVERY CHANCE I COULD(AT LEAST 5 TIMES A YEAR). NOW I AM IN COLORADO AND MISSING YOU SO. THERE IS NO PLACE HERE - LIKE CHICO. NO PLACE THAT IS FUN, AFFORDABLE, IN BEAUTIFUL SETTING AND HAS COLD BEER AND NACHOS.

Love Chico Hot Springs
By MsG, 03/29/07
We love coming to Chico's every time we come to Montana, it has a great rustic feel, wonderful food, and a very decent wine list! It's great, you can soak in the pool and then go in and have dinner! We will absolutely come back whenver we're in Montana!

A must stop for sore travelers back
By Jeree, 02/03/07
We have been there many times and we always stop for at least a night when we are out west. My husband and I both have bad backs and traveling either by car or plane makes for a lot of pain. We go to the hot springs pool and soak up the heat. Baths and dressing rooms are always clean and very large. Last time we stayed in one of the cabins up above the hot springs. Very cozy but just a bit pricy. We would have stayed another night if it had been more affordable. We did not go to dinner there but my daughter and her fiance just went there for a package deal with a jacuzzi cabin and dinner was included and she said it was fabulous. They are picky diners. So over all I give Chico Hot Springs a 5 star rating.

Nice honeymoon spot
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/14/06
We stayed at Chico on our honeymoon in 2004. We rented the honeymoon cabin, and it was so worth the money!! It was very relaxing. We sat in our jacuzzi tub and drank champagne, lounged in the nice luxurious robes they provided, ate a fancy dinner and went over to the saloon to hear a live band. The views are awesome. We also took a dogsledding trek - what a great time! I was glad we rented the cabin, not sure if we would have liked staying in the main building. The cabin was perfect for a honeymoon!

Montana's hidden secret
By Pilar, 02/12/06
We have been coming to Chico's for years, and love it. As far as the prices you have many types of rooms to choose from. The Main Lodge can be a bit noisy at times but, for the low price and great atmosphere it is worth it! The food is also wonderful. It's a great place for a romantic getaway, or for a family vacation.
