26 reviews for Days Inn, St. Louis
We will be returning with every trip.
By DAWN, 06/15/09
I liked the price and location the best. The room was older but clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. We were able to walk across the street to a shopping plaza and restaurants. We go to Shriners Hospital alot and this is a great rate and easy to get around in this location

Great price for a large family!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/11/09
I read some reviews before we stayed here and I'm glad I didn't listen to most of them. I did ask to see a room before we decided to stay here though. This motel was clean, although a little dated. We have 4 children that are getting to big now to share a room so we have to get two. We were able to get a Suite with 3 double beds instead of 2 rooms which was about $40 cheaper. It is hard to find motels with suites that are this reasonable (under $100.00). Rooms came with coffee pot, refrig, & microwave, in which we used all. 3 of our children used the swimming pool and really enjoyed it. It was warm. There was a coffee shop where you could get coffee anytime and the breakfast in the morning was good with fruit, juices, bisquits & gravy, & waffles. More items then a regular "continental breakfast". This is not a fancy motel, but clean and a great value. Also, there are lots of things to do in this area. Restaurants, mall, shopping and close to Grants Farm, which was our destination. I recommend this motel!

Average Stay - Exceptional Service
By Jennifer J, 04/06/09
We stayed in a suite here, it was average, but the price was good. The beds were clean, the Tvs had remotes and worked, the indoor pool was heated and the kids loved it, also had an indoor playground good for the toddlers, arcade for the bigger kids. Ok, the furniture was ample, the kiddie pool was closed and our room was the longest walk to the lobby/pool area, also the bathrooms are a LONG walk from the pool. The service here was some of the best i've ever experienced at a hotel!Even though the girl at the front desk was foreign, she went out of her way to help me (more than once)!! I even left my daughters blankie at the room, and they are going to ship it back to me!! The pool was clean, I would personally recommend using the pool while everyone else is enjoying supper, much less hectic than afterwards! The arcade games and kiddie rides were very resonable and a good way to wear the kiddos out before bed time!

Slept with dirty beds
By Kyle, 09/26/08
When i first laid down on the bed it was on top of the blanket. But when i really went to bed come to find the sheets and pillow cases were crusty in spots with stains on them. I don't know what could of caused those stains and i don't want to know what caused them. When i told the lady at the front desk she said "Your sheetz rrrrr stainnnnededed YAHHH?!?!" VERY POOR ENGLISH. she thought i needed some new towels. I have to say this is the worst place possible to sleep at. I would of rather slept in my Geo with 30 dirty hobo's. Not to mention General manager looks like one too.

This was Horrible!
By Ashlee :], 09/26/08
Let me tell you about my family’s stay at the Days Inn. We are from Janesville, WI, which is a 6 hour drive from St. Louis. We had looked up on the internet hotels that were near six flags, this particular Days Inn was roughly 15 miles from six flags. The pictures on the internet looked amazing, it advertised a heated pool, a kiddy pool, a hot tub, a playground and nice rooms. I called 2 weeks ahead of time to confirm what their internet site had said. The woman that I talked to was a nice woman, she had said yes all those things were correct. I told my family about it and we all decided that Days Inn would be a nice place to stay. We all packed and headed there for vacation. We arrived there and checked in early for we had plans to go to the zoo that day, we got our keys and went to the room. We opened the door, there was this horrible smell, 2 of our lights didn’t work and our sink was cracked all the way across. Arriving back from the zoo, we all decided to go swimming being the pool was supposed to be heated. We got in our suits me and my one year old son were the first to walk down there, I stuck my foot in the pool and instantly pulled back out the water was freezing, so we walked away and looked for a hot tub, there wasn’t one. The kiddy pool was filled with older children because the water was much warmer. Our room which was bad to start was outside next to a pub. The pub played music till bar time [2:30am], it was impossible to sleep. Every time we left our room our keys would somehow deactivate and we’d have to go to the counter, which not to mention there are mostly foreign women that work at the desk, we couldn’t understand them and they couldn’t understand us. Our stay here was horrible, it ruined our vacation for sure.

Budget hotel. Nothing great
By KEVIN, 08/28/08
The play area was a slide and some coin op rides, but my 2 year old seemed to not mind. The pool was freezing! Location was fine since it's right off the highway. The room was adequate. Good water pressure, hot water in the shower. Bed was fine. If you have $10-20 bucks more, you can find something nicer in Fenton, MO, but this is just "Okay" for the money.

WARNING!!!!!! GO ELSEWHERE
By matt, 08/03/08
To start the trip off the hotel is located beside a bar and the hotel front is located in an alley. Second we go to check in an you can not understand the lady behind the counter due to she speaks poor ENGLISH. Then we go to are room and it hasn't been cleaned, they give us another room which is suppose to have queen beds that are doubles. the bathroom smelled like smoke in a non-smoking room and it was filthy. My family and I go to the pool to relax which is suppose to be heated and it is like ICE water. There is no spa either. ALL in ALL I will never stay here again. This place is terrible

Dont stay if you have Asthma
By Teresa, 07/31/08
Walk in and it is hotter than outside. Outside was index of 105. The air conditioners in the 2 rooms didnt work the same. Ours was cool but when it shut off it was so musty in there you couldnt breathe. I had an asthma attack within 15 minutes of being there. The pictures are not accurate of what it looks like inside. The floors in the hallway slant, have bumps and dips, carpet is duct taped in several areas. The steps to the second floor you watch move as you step on them. The carpets in the room are soaking wet around the air conditioners. The bathrooms are tiny. The good thing, the lady I dealt with on the phone and the breakfast in the morning. I would never stay again. For another $50 we could have stayed in a nice place we stayed at before. We were looking at distance from where we wanted to go. Wont make that mistake again. Just remember if you or your family have asthma dont stay here. Four out of the 5 that stayed there have asthma. It isnt worth it.

Great location, price and service!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/24/08
Stayed there 3 nights. Both the young kids and teens had a ball with the indoor pool, playground, games and gym. Maids were very friendly and I did not have any problems getting towels. Attached Resturant/Bar is fun for the adults. The location was between six flags and downtown area. Perfect location. I would stay there again.

Don't Ask for Extra Towels!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/05/08
To start off I waited in line 30 minutes to check in. There were 3 people working but all seemed clueless. We asked for extra towels because we had 3 towels and 4 guests in the room. We were told that they "do not give extras" because everyone would be asking for them and they'd not have enough. That's BS! Their sign in the room and the little handout about their hotel says to ask the front desk for extras! The Kleenex box fell off the wall. Overall it was a very run down hotel. We did enjoy the pool and the price was right for what we had but the poor customer service will drive us to never stay here again!!!!
