BADLY NEEDS UPDATES
By Gina, 07/01/09
Carpet was filthy. Comforters needed to be washed. I was looking forward to my workout only to find the exercise room was flooded with no fan or air, none of the electrical components on the machines worked except for the treadmill. No one seemed interested in getting the water up. The equiptment was old and ricketing. The pool was a plus and my son enjoyed it. Breakfast was about the best thing going for this place.

Filthy and disgusting
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/13/08
We came down to visit our daughter for the weekend, and due to a home football game at Mizzou, this was the only place we could get, even though we made reservations 2 months ago. When we got in our room, we noticed that it was very smelly, had dirty carpet, damaged furniture, a moldy shower, and was just overall dirty. Also, there was an extension cord with several things plugged in, which did not appear to be safe. As there was no where else for us to stay, we stayed there, with the decision that never again would we stay here. After being gone from 9:00 a.m. till midnight, we came back to a room that still had dirty towels on the bathroom floor, used cups on the bathroom vanity, and did not appear to have been vacuumed. When we called for clean towels that night, no one answered the desk phone, so my husband had to go down to the desk to get towels. Other than the beds being made, it did not look like the room had even had maid service that day. We paid a total of $216.92 for two nights in this filthy place and will never even consider staying here again. We have stayed in the Comfort Suites across the interstate from this place in the past and with our military discount, we paid approximately $175.00 for a two night stay. It was clean and comfortable. We would not recommend this place to anyone. It is a rip off for the disgusting condition it is in. In our opinion, the health department should come and just check this place out. We will stay further away from Columbia in the future if there is no where else to stay. This place was not worth the convenience of being in the town.

Filthy, stinky!
By C, 08/10/08
I would not recommend to others. Not as nice as the photos the website shows. The ceiling looked as if to cave in any moment, with water stains and the lights falling down. Carpet tore up and dirty. Mildew in shower and sink. Air vents thick with dust. The sheets were so thin you could see through them, holes in bedding. We tried to stay away when awake and only wanted to sleep through it. The good thing was easy to find and close to Hwy!

Run and Don't Look Back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/29/08
Overall, it was just plain nasty. Upon arrival to my first room there was a dead spider on my nightstand which looked like it had not been cleaned in over a month. The bathroom was flithy. My second room was not much better the television it looked like someone had been playing kickball with it and the maid did not change my sheets she just made the bed. Nothing was wiped down, sanitized or cleaned. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Not even my dog.

Would never recommend this hotel to my worst enemy
By Dawn, 03/31/08
This hotel was one of the filthy hotels I have ever seen. We stayed here with our youth wrestling club and occupied 16 rooms. Everyone one of the bathrooms were a disgusting mess. The bedsheets smelled like they had not been changed in weeks. The floors were so dirty you didn't even want to step on them. Non smoking rooms reaked of smoke and when I complained to the manager, Ted, all he said was want do you want me to do about it. Last the free breakfast was a joke. It consisted of cold biscits and gravy or 1 tbsp eggs, 4 homefries, 1 piece of toast with jelly that was so old that it would not spread. To be honest the Health Department needs to be called concerning this hotel

I have one word of advice on this hotel -- "RUN!"
By Richard, 08/09/07
This place is a dump. I stayed there july 21 2007 and paid $116. What a rip off. Filthy room, filthy carpet. The free breakfast was 2 paper thin pieces of breakfast and 6 cold home fries and 1 piece of cold toast. It was the only place that had a room that night. STAY AWAY.

Needs work
By Lois, 07/09/07
The inn was easy to find but that's about it. Not all the lights worked. The pool area was in poor condition. The cook didn't show so no breakfast without a long wait. Ice machine broken or out of ice. Wireless internet did not work where our room was.

Wow for Days Inn!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/31/07
Three cheers for Days Inn- they were wonderful. The staff was overly friendly, the free breakfast was great (c'mon, free breakfast!?!? yes, and it was tasty!) Rooms were clean, everything was comfortable. My kids were a bit disappointed that the pool wasn't open (but it looked like they were just about ready to open it up for the season). I can understand as the weather in MO has been crazy this year. Anyway, I would definitely recommend this hotel--a great pick for us, and would be for you too!

Value? No!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/26/07
The people at the front desk were very nice. The two servers at breakfast were an older grouch willing to blame all on younger worker, who was just struggling in a chaotic SNAFU. Also, it was not a "free breakfast" of today's standards. For what I paid, I expected better than hard biscuits/cold gravy OR dried cold eggs, bacon, toast OR cold cereal. Small glass of juice included. The room was overpriced, filthy, not properly equipped, hair in tub upon arrival, poorly maintained, and slow draining tub. I did not mind the outdated building because it was a nice blast of the past having the glass wall and the crank window above the door. We walked to office and requested more towels and wash cloths (bath linens for two and reservation for four people). We got the additional towels and were supposed to be called when wash cloths were ready - never heard a word. Sidewalks cracked and poorly maintained. Pool was not yet opened. For the price and based on past experience with Days Inn chain, we expected better. I would recommend staying somewhere else. Personally, I am very disappointed in Days Inn to accept such poor standards.

Cliche, but had a great stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/17/07
I liked how nice everyone was. My husband enjoyed the lounge. My kids liked it that we were just a hop, skip, and a jump from the mall. All of us liked the breakfast (me especially, as it was FREE!!!). Nice hotel; we will be back in a month or two.
