Holiday Inn Northeast, Kansas City

Tried to call sales office multiple times to inquire about a meeting room. They do not answer the phone! Just rings and rings! No voicemails! Found a better place to go!

Besides the good location, one of the main reasons why I chose this hotel was because their website lists refrigerator and microwave oven under the amenities. They don't make it clear that it's only in the King rooms. Very disappointed. Probably won't come back because of their false advertisement.

I liked the front desk help and the restaraunt help. One instance where my son dropped a glass at the sunday buffet and began cleaning it up himself he was immediately interuppted by the hostess who quickly got help and cleaned up our mess. It was nice that they handled it so graciously and eased a somewhat embarrassing moment. The shuttle was helpful also. The staff is however challenged with an aging hotel. We had some difficulty with the ice machine, and while waiting on it to produce ice I noticed some wallcovering falling off the wall. The window in my wife and my room wouldn't open, and even though we booked early we were stuck on the top floor. Fortunately worlds of fun and a motel pool were our main concerns and this hotel helped us accomplish both of those. If they were 20 dollars a room cheaper I would consider it a great deal. And then I would surely return. I wouldn't mind paying a hundred a night for a room but when I do I want the place to look a little nicer than this did. Maybe in its day.

Check in was horrible. I called to confirm the room and was told no problem. I arrived at approx 4:00 pm and was finally checked in at 5:30 pm. The room we were given had not been made and very dirty. When we finally got our room it did not have the refridgerator and microve as was listed on the resevation we made. The story given to me and as I heard tell to two other guest checking in was, sorry the person in your room did not check out till late and we are getting the room ready right now. It should be ready in about 20 minutes. Hummm, 1 1/2 hrs later we were finaly in our room.

Friendly sevice, Location,Willing to help with special needs. My daughter has her Birthday there every year. Since she was 10 and she will soon be 16.

I made reservations on line for 3 rooms and called to verify they had all 3 cause only 2 were charged. They only had 2 so I added on 1 more. We get there and they only have 2. I said why is it pending on my credit card then? They said it would go off when we checked out, acted like it wasn't a big deal. So we just paid for the 3rd room there. They ended up charging us for 2 extra rooms plus an 18 dollar charge. This caused an over the limit fee. It took me 3 days to get this figured out cause no one would call me back and when I did get someone on the line they didn't know. They finally said the charges would be back on at the end of the week. The thing is they didn't offer to pay for the over the limit fees or appologize! I had to ask them if they were going to pay the fees and still haven't heard back! No offer of anything to compensate for a huge mess!!!!

We stayed here to go to World of Fun and Oceans of Fun. They offered a great package deal. A shuttle took us to and from the parks. They also told us they would shuttle us to nearby resteraunts. The rooms were clean. The staff was great. Breakfast was awesome. Pool and hut tub was good too. No complaints. We will be back.
