not a great place at all
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/09/08
The people were rude and the hotel was filthy for a embassy suites. The only good thing was the breakfast, my family got hassled with that. I have another wedding to go to in St louis and this hotel was listed. I say skip it.

Mardi Gras
By Niki, 11/28/07
The breakfast is great, the rooms are clean and the staff is very courtious. Perfect location for Mardi Gras goers. it's a short walk to the Gateway Arch and the Metro line to go shopping to the airport. Located in beautiful LaClede's Landing.

The breakfast was Great
By Tricy, 10/09/07
It was nice. It was kind of an older hotel. The parking was too expensive. People were not as friendly. Work out room needs new equipment. But I made it work.

Awesome for Girl's Night!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/12/07
THe location is perfect on Lacled's landing. You can go out on the town and not have to worry about driving because everything is w/in walking distance. The hotel is really nice for a 3 star. The free hot breakfast buffet is delicious and impressive. The Happy Hour is a great bonus, too!!!!! I'll definitely come back w/ my girlfriends again!

Awesome hotel
By travel qa, 04/03/07
The location was perfect and the staff went out of their way to assist us with information on ski packages, tours and shopping. The service was great! The complimentary breakfast was a real treat and a money saver. We met other guests from all over the United States and enjoyed visiting with them.

Decent Room - Parking's a Hassle
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/30/06
Stayed: Nov 23 - 26, 2006 Location: Downtown In the heart of the city. Lots to do from just walking around to horse carriage rides. Lots of restaurants, arch, zoo, etc. Parking: They charged $10.00/night for parking. Very Limited On-site, though. Offsite is down the street around the corner..a pain when checking out. When I placed my reserv. I specifically asked if parking was onsite and was simply told yes. I didn't know I should ask about limited spacing or offsite parking. Offsite fee should be adjusted down...way down. Hotel Design: Very appealing inside, especially to kids. They dug the openness, water fountains, and all of the holiday decor, I think. Pool/Arcade area, swimming pool/sauna were all available and very nice. Elevators: Not sure what the deal was here but I spent more time on the stairs then on the elevators..but I was only on the 5th floor. I never saw an "out of order" sign; yet out of 4 elevators (2 in each bank), only 1-2 seemed to work at any given time...absolutely ridiculous. Stairs were kinda nasty too so I grumbled all the way up of course. Room Service: Yikes. I ordered room service (pizza) Friday night. The lady who took my order hangs up on me while I was asking her a question. The funny part is, she was irritated when I called back to finish asking my question. Just wanted to know about when I should expect the food in my room so I could be there. Again, yikes! Scary Chick. Food was there in 30 minutes...I gave the lady my visa. Why did I do that...now she's really mad! "I did not know you would pay in credit, I will have to go downstairs and do not know how long I be." Say Wha?? So I ask, "How Long Will You Be???" "10-15 minutes," she says. Long story short...bring cash..these folks are cuckoo for cocoa puffs. The charge on my credit card was The Fish Market, 33 bucks!..I only ordered 2 pizzas. Breakfast (Included): WAS GREAT! Made to order. Or you can just go through the buffet line. I recommend the made to order. The chef is awesome and a nice guy. My sister, brother-in-law and Mother loved the omelets. Room: Comfortable, mostly clean, no weird smells. Although the bathroom was way too small. 2 TV's but the remotes didn't work on the one in the living room area. Wireless Internet is free everywhere else but Embassy Suites...$9.99/day...ridiculous. They also won't let you hook up a personal dvd player. Again, not smart. All in all ....I have to say that the only reason I picked this place over a hotel near the airport is the location. To be honest, the trade-offs weren't worth it. I gave my concerns/complaints to Aleisha at the front desk and she did give me a slight break on the parking fee so I was thankful. She also told me that they are under renovations (or will be going under renovations in the near future?). Definitely could use some major tweaking.

Not a good experience
By jimc, 09/12/06
Person at entrance with the baggage cart just stood there and told me I could not unload in front so I moved car and he never offered to help. My daughter in law went and got another cart while we unloaded. Never had this happen at any place I've ever stayed before. Why have these people if they are not going to do their job.Hotel needs a good cleaning. Alot of stains. Probably would not stay there again if another downtown hotel was available

Dump
By r, 08/13/06
From the moment you walk in, you know it's one of those musty, dated old properties where you don't want to take your shoes off, if you know what I mean. A/Cs that don't work, bugs, filty, dirty walls and fixtures. Bedding befitting of a just closed La Quinta. The place has not been updated in years, and it just seems so old that it has gotten away from them. Add to that the really unfriendly jerk working at the front desk when we arrived, and you get the picture. It is just a wonder that this place is still branded as an Embassy Suites. Thankfully, we escaped to a nearby Hampton Inn and all was well. Convenient to Edward Jones dome but NOT to Busch Stadium. A dump - stay away.

Amazing! We had a great time in St. Louis!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/30/06
This, like all Embassy Suites, was an amazing place to stay. They pride themselves on hospitality. When I mentioned we were going to Grant's Farm the manager left directions and brochures for me at the front desk. Everyone who works here is friendly, from the managers to the lady who works at the pool. My kids loved it! It is located at Laclede's Landing and you can walk to the Arch, Courthouse, Stadiums, Riverboats, etc. We had an incredible trip and much of it had to do with the friendly, family like atmosphere of Embassy Suites!
