Lamplighter Suites North, Springfield

We went to several different hotels and this one was the best for the price. The rooms were very clean, and the pool was salt water and very nice. Loved the fact that theres a lounge in the hotel and the rooms are kind of secluded from the main lobby.

Cockroach in the room. When we pointed this out to an employee, he asked "in your room or in the hallway?" When we pointed this out to the manager, no refund or discount off of our stay was offered. Stay at your own risk.

The only negative about this hotel was the RUDE front desk staff-day and night. The breakfast was nice and the lady in charge of the breakfast was nice and friendly. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Price was very good with coupon. Again-very rude front desk staff--to the staff, could you please say `hello` to the guests and stop stop talking to each other and pretending we are invisible.

My Husband and I Came to Springfield and picked Lamplighter Inn North to stay at,It was Quiet but We couldn't get the Wireless to work and When We spoke with the Front Desk Manager She was very Rude.We also missed the Scrambled eggs and Biscuits and Gravy during the Weekday ..So since We was here for 4 days ,We checked out and took our Business Else where and Then We had a nice trip

I loved the Lamplighter, the employees are great, our room was very clean. I like the fact that they called to see if everything was okay with the room when we checked in. We enjoyed the indoor pool and breakfast.

My family stayed at Lamplighter North and it was not the best stay in Springfield we Have had... Their was 1 employee who was Rude,and Ungrateful to even talk too,and her name was Angela ..So I would not recommend this Hotel to Anyone I know..

Here is the condensed version. We went with our daughter to Springfield, MO to attend the MO State University open house on Saturday October 6, 2007. We had made reservations at the Lamplighter Inn for Friday evening which was a hotel listed by the University. Our first room was very dirty and the hot water to the sink did not work. They moved us to a second room which was just as dirty and also had roaches. When I told he person at the front desk about the roaches he replied, "If my daughter does like roaches, she won't like the dorm rooms at MO State University. Needless to say we didn't spend the night there. We checked into another hotel ( La Quinta Inn which was very clean ) and Lamplighter Inn refused to refund our money. P.S. We found the dorm rooms to be 100% cleaner then the Lamplighter Inn.

My reservations for 2 handicapped rooms was not honored when I arrived. I had a blind, 87 year old mother and a husband with a herniated disc and had asked for adjoining, handicapped accessible rooms, was given confirmation numbers for both, and gave my credit card number to hold them. Upon arrival in mid-afternoon we were given 3rd floor, regular rooms, one across the hall from the other. Mother unable to bathe in regular tub, extremely difficult to help her on and off commode. Front desk staff, tho not rude, informed me they did not "hold" any rooms, that the "reservation" only confirmed that we would have "a room". They had already rented out the handicapped rooms on 1st floor. I have received no apology, no response, no refund. I contacted the Justice Dept. regarding the American's With Disabilities law and was advised that my reservations should have been honored. Beware of this motel. The elevator was hardly wheelchair accessible and was extremely difficult to get on and off .

The only ting that i did not like about it was the rude gusts veary rude.I got lost and a house keeper healped me. they evan skoot littel kids in to there chars

Most motels have a very hard bed! I have back problems and end up in pain after traveling. We usually have to stay at a more expensive hotel to make sure I am able to sleep on the beds. but their beds are very comfortable & always clean. they also serve a decent breakfast. Have stayed there several times.
