Had an experience

We stayed at this motel because we stayed at the Drury Hotel in Kansas on our way down to Tulsa, OK. Wow...great hotel, was like you were at home but better. When we stayed in the St. Joseph Dury Hotel, it was not as good. When I arrived, the desk clerk was talking with one of the employees at the counter, I stood there for about 5 minutes waiting for them to finish, and I was standing right next to them. Check in was standard proceedure, nothing to go out of there way. The entrace was very nice, and very clean. We got to our room and then went to get some supper. When we returned to our room we went to the pool. The pool was nice size, and they also had a hot tub. Both of them had alot of chlorene in them and the hot tub was a bit dirty, but all in all, not to bad. When we got back to our room, and started un-packing, we noticed garbage in our room that was not ours, and also crumbs on the counters, hmmmm. I went down to the front desk and let them know what we had found in our room, and the desk clerk hardly made eye contact and said she would have to check into it. I went back to the room, and a few minutes later the desk clerk called and said they could comp our room $20 for the inconvience. So we got $20 taken off our bill to stay in a partially clean room, we were not to happy. Then we started giving the kids a bath, and us a shower, and the bottom of the shower curtin was turning black. I am not the type to get excited over the stuff you hear on TV, like the 60 minute show they had on motel rooms, but this really made me squirm. Overall the motel was in good condition, and great breakfast (but again, not as home friendly as the one in South Kansas City), free drinks and all they offer was good, but it just kind of burned me on a few things. Customer service has really gone by the wayside.
