Was Awesome
By Susie, 3/17/10
My boyfriend and I recently stayed at Drury Inn in St. Joseph,Mo.It was an awesome place. The service was outstanding. The staff was very friendly. The food was great. The room was clean and I loved the shower. Too bad couldnt checked out the pool area. I would stay there any day. I just think they need one in Omaha Ne or Council Bluffs, IA.Would tell anyone to stay there...I have nothing bad to say at all.

Many Trips, no complaints
By Aunt_tea04, 10/2/08
We just stayed at Drury Inn again this past weekend. Once again we were satisfied. This trip we were not at the Motel much, so didn't use the pool and Hot tub nor did we have drinks. The room was clean, but the drain in the bathtub was loose and lying on the edge of the tub. No real problem with that. The breakfast was very good and what I liked the most was they served until 10am. On previous trips we enjoyed the pool and hot tub. On the trip returning my soldier to the KC airport to return to Iraq after his 2 week R&R in 2005, the staff was great and went out of their way to be good to all of us, but especially my son. Being a highly stressful time for all of us, that little extra caring was greatly appriciated. I have recommended this motel in the past and would do so again.

Had an experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/29/08
We stayed at this motel because we stayed at the Drury Hotel in Kansas on our way down to Tulsa, OK. Wow...great hotel, was like you were at home but better. When we stayed in the St. Joseph Dury Hotel, it was not as good. When I arrived, the desk clerk was talking with one of the employees at the counter, I stood there for about 5 minutes waiting for them to finish, and I was standing right next to them. Check in was standard proceedure, nothing to go out of there way. The entrace was very nice, and very clean. We got to our room and then went to get some supper. When we returned to our room we went to the pool. The pool was nice size, and they also had a hot tub. Both of them had alot of chlorene in them and the hot tub was a bit dirty, but all in all, not to bad. When we got back to our room, and started un-packing, we noticed garbage in our room that was not ours, and also crumbs on the counters, hmmmm. I went down to the front desk and let them know what we had found in our room, and the desk clerk hardly made eye contact and said she would have to check into it. I went back to the room, and a few minutes later the desk clerk called and said they could comp our room $20 for the inconvience. So we got $20 taken off our bill to stay in a partially clean room, we were not to happy. Then we started giving the kids a bath, and us a shower, and the bottom of the shower curtin was turning black. I am not the type to get excited over the stuff you hear on TV, like the 60 minute show they had on motel rooms, but this really made me squirm. Overall the motel was in good condition, and great breakfast (but again, not as home friendly as the one in South Kansas City), free drinks and all they offer was good, but it just kind of burned me on a few things. Customer service has really gone by the wayside.

Undecided if would go back again.
By RondaJ, 11/1/07
It was a nice motel, except for the room smell. We have stayed in Drury in several times in other locations, and was very pleased. The hotel in St Joseph had a bad cigarett smell in a non smoking room, and a bad odor in the bath area like a backed up sewer. Other than that it was very nice.

Home away from home!
By Hey, 7/13/05
The Drurys across the nation are great! I always feel like I'm right at home. The staff was very accomodating, the breakfast had a huge selection and all the rooms had a fridge and microwave! Loved the stay!

Nice little break from driving
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/17/04
The hotel is nicely located next to the interstate, nice rooms, pool was a little chilly and the jacuzzi needed to be cleaned more often. I would definately stay there again!!
