Isle of Capri Casino Natchez, Natchez

I had to leave the hotel because the A/C was broken. When I checked in and went to my room I noticed the A/C would not come on. I called the front desk and the lady had an attitude and said that of course it wouldn't work, because they are working on it. She did tell me that it would be fixed with in an hour or two. I left and came back 3 hours later (at 8:30 pm) and found a note on my door saying to expect the A/C to be out for an additional 4 to 6 hours. I went to the front desk and checked out. I was assured that I would not be charged. Not only was I charged, but they DOUBLE CHARGED ME! I will never stay there again, and I warn everyone not to stay there.

After some initial difficulties with the local front desk staff booking an additonal room (we were originally just booked for Saturday night for a bowling tournament), everything went quite well. The hotel was clean, quiet and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We loved the free shuttle to the casino and, again, at the casino everyone was friendly and helpful. The weekend breakfast at the hotel was delicious (and free!), but the casino buffet, although cheap, left a little bit to be desired....smothered rabbit and turkey wings are not things I would normally eat (guess that told us we were in Mississippi!!) All in all, a very pleasant experience. We will be back!

This is possibly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The casino sends me free rooms at this hotel often and even for free I would never stay here again. Trust me, this is horrible. Run!!! Even if they pay you to stay, dont do it!! Disqusting!!!

Would never stay at this hotel again. No internet acess in room. No fridgeor microwave in room. Remote for tv did not work. Had to ask for room to be cleaned. Had no toilet paper twice. Room was not clened until 6pm, Door keys did not work, had to get them redone everyday. Wanted a $50.00 deposit for local phone calls from the room. Staff was not nice.

I made my reservation through the 800-number and was given a great rate. When I attempted to check in the very rude desk clerk refused to give me my confirmed rate. Apparently, the call center gave me a rate that was half the weekend rate at the Natchez location - but that wasn't my fault and I had budgeted around the figures given at reservation. The desk clerks were uncooperative, obnoxious, and downright disrespectful. When I asked to speak to a manager, the clerk refused and continued to be obstinate about recognizing my reservation details. Also, they have a pool - not a very nice one - and they also have a "guard" of sorts but not a lifeguard. They employ this man to sit inside, in a suit, with a clipboard and armbands you must trade your room key for before you can enter the pool area. Then, this employee regulates who can and cannot swim in the deep end or in the pool at all. Bear in mind - he is not a lifeguard. About 4 couples with children were in the pool area while I was there and out of those 4 none were planing to return. Please do not stay at this hotel if you expect any decent customer service.

The hotel started going downhill about two years ago. They took out the free coffee downstairs. There is no Microwave in the lobby or in a general area for public use. The only rooms with microwave and fridge are suites and not all of them are equipped with these amenities. No mouthwash in rooms and they do not carry it downstairs. I and several of my friends have stayed here because of promo coupons. There are numerous television set with cable box problems. They went up on the price of rooms and did away with continental breakfast and free coffee. You do have a coffee pot in your room. They finally have internet, but you have to sit in the lobby to access it. I don't know about others, but internet access in the room is a plus when traveling with the wife and teenagers. I would only recommend the Isle Hotel to the business man who can not get a room in one of the more relaxing hotels in town.

i guess i'd have to say everything was great, the people, our room, the food.the only thing i didn't like was the rain.we go to the gals & pals, this year (2006) will be our 3rd time. we always go in march, but we might try april or may, maybe the weather will be better. i wish that the isle of capri would have a gals & pals in bossier, la. the gals & pals is probably the best deal for your money, and who knows you just might get lucky at the casino.each year from our small town in tx. we have grown from 2 couples to about 10 couples who now spend part of our vacation time in natchez, ms at the isle of capri hotel & casino. the best advertisement is word of mouth , so natchez keep up the great hospitality. we will see you---the spring of 2006.
