Battlefield Inn, Vicksburg

Recently took a 2 week roadtrip vacation through Arkansas, Mo,Tenn, and Mississippi. Of all the motels and Casino hotels we spent a night or two, the Battlefield Inn was our most pleasant stay. Everything from the clean rooms, friendly staff, excellent restaurant,to the free afternoon cocktails made us feel right at home. I would refer all my friends to stop in if ever in Vicksburg.

Friendly, courteous staff ... wonderul drinks and dining .... I saw all sorts of adds for good restaraunts in Vicksburg, but I couldn't drag myself away from the hotel!! Great atmosphere, great location adjacent to the Park. It's slightly retro feel and southern hospitality make it a winner. I've chosen to return there with my new bride as the site for our first vacation as a couple, despite three + years since my last visit!

Room needs alot of maintanence. Very dated rooms and surroundings. Shower did'nt work well at all, sink was leaking , large hump in floor of bathroom. Toliet was not clean.

We stayed here for our 22nd anniversary and loved it. When we checked in, we got tokens for 2 free breakfast buffets for each morning and for 2 free drinks apiece during cocktail time each evening. My free pull on the one arm bandit also won us a free dinner (which included an appetizer, soup/salad, main course, drink and dessert) in Jacques restaurant. The food there was excellent! Considering the number of perks we got (the free drinks, breakfasts, and dinner) I feel that the price of $79 per night was an outstanding value. We stayed 2 nights and would definitely visit again! I highly recommend this hotel!!!

This is a grat stopping place us on our trips beteen Atlanta and Dallas. We travel at least 5 times durring the year and always stay at the Battlefield Inn. Everyone is so helpful. They also have a coin washer and dryer which came in handy for us on one of our trips. The breakfast is very good and filling. I just love this place. They have lots of room around the hotel outside where my kids can run off their pent up energy from the road! Great place to stay.... I always do:)

My husband and I were on a driving vacation. We originally were only going to stay one night in Vicksburg. We ended up staying two nights, because we were so comfortable at the hotel. It was clean, the staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good. We will stop on our next drive through the city. A bit "tricky" to find, but after that smooth sailing. I went with students and it was not very clean but it was a place to stay, and the location was great...i wouldnt recomend it for a family vacation

My husband, my five-year old son, and I stayed at the Battlefield Inn. It was fantastic!! The rates were great. We ended up having a jacuzzi tub in our room. My little one loved it. The birds in the front lobby were also a hit with our little one. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was good, too. Jacque's has the best shrimp po-boy I have ever had. This is a great place to stay for families, couples, or singles. It was very quiet. We will DEFINITELY be back.

This motel is one of the best! I walked in to check in, the lobby was full of people socializing, a player piano playing, friendly helpful staff, just overall southern hospitality greeting you. The rooms are clean and nice. The free breakfast buffet in the morning was great ! Biscuits, gravy, eggs, bacon, grits all yummy. The pool grounds are clean and well kept. There's mini golf for kids, a playground for smaller kids, A porch swing in the courtyard near the pool, BBQ pits. Whirlpool bathtub, I could go on and on!! I wanted to live there. You can't go wrong staying here. Best of all it's not expensive at all.

I love the service and the hotel! I used to live in Vicksburg and I never noticed how much I really liked it! Well I plan to go back there very soon!
