Nantucket Inn, Nantucket

Getting charged $315 a night over labor day. The room is musty smelling and noisy! If you are on the 1st floor, you will hear noise from the room above, very annoying. Plus there is no coffee maker in the room and the front desk staff is indifferent. I asked to change rooms to something quieter and was told the 2nd floor is "unavailable".. This is one of the worst hotels I've stayed in, it would be worth checking into other properties.

There is a difference between "quaint" and outdated, and the Nantucket Inn is definitely outdated. The rooms are "very used" as others have mentioned and the first room they tried to put my wife and I in had a large stain on the rug that looked as though it was either vomit or a pet stain. Most of the furniture and fixings are very old and you can see the layers of paint they put on the place to make it look nice. The entire complex is in need of updating and upgrading. The front desk staff was less than pleasant, seeming almost annoyed that they had to actually deal with customers. I will say that the gentlemen who monitored the breakfast buffet room were very friendly and pleasant, as were most of the shuttle drivers, but any dealings with the rest of the staff showed a complete lack of customer service qualities. I would recommend the Nantucket Inn as a last option for those who are looking to stay on Nantucket. Though there Sensational Summer Packages appear to be the best of deals, you must realize you are getting a very outdated and old inn, with a mostly unpleasant staff, and very little amenities. Look into other options first, though they may be a few dollars more, in the long run you will be getting a much better experience during your stay on Nantucket.

Our company provides on-demand travel services, thus we usually don't know how long we're going to be somewhere. We wound up checking out after the first night instead of staying the three nights we intended to use. The hotel manager refused to budge on the hotel's policy of charging for the three nights. Understandable when availability is tight, but as a provider of upper-scale services, I would at least hear out the customer and come to a sensible solution.

...the airport! Literally! If you have the arm strength to throw a stone across the street than you could hit the airport from Nantucket Inn's parking lot! On sundays there is a buffet! Mom's Buffet! You can dine in their tacky dinning room or enjoy the outside deck with beautiful views of (you guessed it) the Airport! All an all, this is by far the best place to stay for aeronautical fans and for people who just like to get ripped off!

In short, a great place to stay hands down. Not only convenient but quite relaxing as well. The staff at the hotel are not only proffesssional, but honest and courteous.

We stayed there and got a "well used" room. It was clean but showed lots of use..... Got gipped on breakfast too...ended up paying with person in charge saying they could not provide everything "at that price". OK in a pinch..but check out others..

I recently attended a conference at the Nantucket Inn. The location was not the best available on the island, but as the conference was there, I stayed there anyway. The atmosphere created by the staff was one of indifference, the room was well worn, although was cleaned nicely each day. When confronted with a problem (my husband was charged $17 dollars for breakfast which is advertised as included with all guest rooms) the general manager stated that the hotel was the cheapest on the island and guests should not expect a high service availability. Management said we should stay somewhere else for better service. The cost was over $200 a night. The indifferent treatment by staff and unconcerned management laeding his crew in this direction would prevent me from ever returning. And the breakfast was NOT credited as I was "just a conference attendee" and not entitled to breakfast.

We went to the Inn for our honeymoon, thinking we might save money by going to Nantucket. Not true!! Although the Nantucket Inn was a great value, everything else in Nantucket if quite expensive. We had a great time and loved Nantucket. We stayed in one of the cottages at the Inn and it was great. Very secluded and a really nice room with a fireplace. Would go back in a second.
