Great stay at the Langham
By Sarah, 12/21/08
Very pretty hotel. During our latest trip to Boston we spent two nights at the Langham and two nights at The Fairmont Copley, which also has our review. The Langham is a beautiful hotel with a welcoming lobby and is located on a park amongst the skyscrapers of downtown. You can easily walk to the Freedom Trail, Quincy Market and many restaurants. We arrived at about 10:30am and our room was not ready. We were quickly and politely prechecked-in and given suggestions about what to do until the room is cleaned. We opted to hang out at the pool. 45 minutes later a young lady arrived with our keys and away we went. We paid $275 for a Superior Room /w a plush comfy king bed located on the 7th floor. The room had ample space and a homely English feel. Our view was of the skyscraper across the street not the nice park. The windows were slanted inwards so we could see to the top of the building which was a unique perspective. The room also had plenty of sunlight unlike the Copley. Lack of the park view aside, our room was spotless, quiet and well appointed. The bar at the Langham is dramatic. Both nights it was hectic with well heeled financier types. The service was friendly and efficient. Nice all overall. The Café for breakfast is very good but as you’d expect not for the budget conscious. Delicious as it was crab/potato cake w/asparagus will set you back $21. Atmosphere is bright and warm, service friendly and efficient. Hotel also has a beautiful modern health club and spa. Use of the pool and fitness floors is free and there was plenty of staff to help. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Langham and will definitely return.

A Hidden Gem
By Tiffany, 10/08/08
Firstly, Boston is our favourite city in the USA. It's clean, safe, easily navigable and there is an endless array of wonderful restaurants, museums and things to do. My partner and I just returned from a two-night stay at The Langham Hotel and we were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is in a great location, set on a beautiful park and within a five-minute (or so) walk of Faneuil Hall Marketplace and many historical attractions including King's Chapel and the Granary Burying Ground. The New England Aquarium and the North End are also about 7-10 minutes away. The hotel has a very European sensibility to it. From the cozy lobby and elegant bar to the professional yet friendly staff. Our room was bright, handsomely decorated with beautiful silk draperies, rich fabrics and was spacious enough for the two of us. The bed was quite literally the most comfortable of any hotel. This hotel also has a great Cafe that serves an exceptional brunch on Sunday. Although pricey, the cuisine is outstanding and well-presented - spot on for what one would expect from a luxury hotel. It also has an awesome health and fitness club with swimming pool and spa treatments available.

Excellent location--close to transportation and to central Boston. Room was outstanding--large and comfortable. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. It was a very short stay, but we were very pleased.

Great
By brittany, 04/30/07
It was a great hotel and a great stay...a little expensive though. Pool was a lap pool, but the hot tub made up for it. Close to city bars and plenty to do in the neighborhood. Very clean and friendly staff.

Worth the Stay !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/14/06
I have stayed in a lot of great, luxury hotels. This was the best. The staff was unbeleiveable. Called front desk with a minor problem. I told them I was in no hurry. Thought it would be handled in due course. Within 15 minute ,of call, had two employees knocking on door. They solved problem ,immediately. Front Desk called to make sure everything was corrected. Staff would call me by by name. They know their guest and go out of their way to satisfy them.

A dream
By fabrizio c, 09/26/05
Every aspect was positive from the moment of check in to check out. The suite was impeccable with refined elegance and european touch. The personnel was always ready to assist, but not bothering. The restaurant excellent and not expensive. I will go back soon.

For bargain hunter, this hotel definitely is a good choice. It has 4-star service with exceptional good pricing. Plus, it is located in the heart of the boston and financial district. You just can't beat that!
