Great stay at the Langham

Very pretty hotel. During our latest trip to Boston we spent two nights at the Langham and two nights at The Fairmont Copley, which also has our review.
The Langham is a beautiful hotel with a welcoming lobby and is located on a park amongst the skyscrapers of downtown. You can easily walk to the Freedom Trail, Quincy Market and many restaurants. We arrived at about 10:30am and our room was not ready. We were quickly and politely prechecked-in and given suggestions about what to do until the room is cleaned. We opted to hang out at the pool. 45 minutes later a young lady arrived with our keys and away we went. We paid $275 for a Superior Room /w a plush comfy king bed located on the 7th floor. The room had ample space and a homely English feel. Our view was of the skyscraper across the street not the nice park. The windows were slanted inwards so we could see to the top of the building which was a unique perspective. The room also had plenty of sunlight unlike the Copley. Lack of the park view aside, our room was spotless, quiet and well appointed.
The bar at the Langham is dramatic. Both nights it was hectic with well heeled financier types. The service was friendly and efficient. Nice all overall.
The Café for breakfast is very good but as you’d expect not for the budget conscious. Delicious as it was crab/potato cake w/asparagus will set you back $21. Atmosphere is bright and warm, service friendly and efficient.
Hotel also has a beautiful modern health club and spa. Use of the pool and fitness floors is free and there was plenty of staff to help.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Langham and will definitely return.
