Sheraton Colonial Boston North Hotel and Conference Center, Wakefield

Our room was luxurious and beautiful in every way! Starbucks coffee in the room, luxury bath items, a gorgeous bath, soft towels, super comfy bed, that's just the beginning! The staff was awesome, from the manager to the front desk to the restaurant. The breakfast buffet was to die for! All of the food was outstanding, especially the clam chowder-it is New England after all! Free internet in the room. Quiet for sleeping. Everything was immaculate-spotless! Only a short drive to Boston or park in a nearby town and take the train, which saves you time and money on parking. You will love it here and the staff totally spoils you! SPG members are treated like royalty! My favorite Boston hotel, and I have stayed in many in the city, and none were this nice, only more expensive!

When we arrived the shuttle was no where to be found. They could not locate the driver so we had to take our car to the commuter rail and just barely made it to the train in time. When we got back at 9pm, our room was still not ready, in fact it was occupied even though we had made reservations days prior with a confirmation number. The halls were always dirty and youth were noisy and running all over the place. The rooms were supposedly "recently rennovated" but if they were- they need a new decorator. It's nothing like the pictures on the website. The restaurant was the only decent part of this hotel. I simply would never stay here again.

This hotel was just redone and looked beautiful. The price is very fair and the location is pretty good. Also, while staying at the hotel, guests get membership to the Boston Sports Club. This was really great because my kids got to swim in a huge pool while me and my husband got a chance to work out. Even though the club isn't inside the hotel, it is only about a 5-8 minute walk away. On the down side, the room was very noisy at night. Hotels really should have soundproof walls because at around 11:00 I heard a couple getting intimate. This is not something you want to hear when you have young children with you. Also, there was some commotion in the hallway in the morning which woke me up. The noise was annoying but most hotels are like that. No one can really do anything about guests making noise so, I don't blame the hotel. I would definitely come back.

My mother & I went on a trip to Salem about a years ago. We stayed at the Sheraton Colonial Hotel & Golf Club. The front desk was polite and kind. The rooms were very clean and well managed. The Beds were heavenly. Everything was about perfect.

It is conveniently located to the interstate without feeling like you're in the middle of it. Our room was clean and comfortable. We used the sitting area on our floor to play cards each evening after dinner. My husband played golf while the rest of us enjoyed a tour of Boston. Downside is having an indoor pool in another building. It was being used for lessons and is a public club. Breakfast buffet is way over priced. Room service was fast and the size and taste of the food was good. There was no refrigerator in the room, so we had to keep coolers with ice.
