Do not stay here
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/17/07
We stayed on a Saturday night. There was a wedding reception occurring in the banquet area, which is well away from the hotel rooms, so I thought it would be ok. WRONG. At 1:30 in the morning, doors were slamming on the 6th floor (where our room was), talking and yelling throughout the halls, and someone yelling for Amy. This went on for over two hours, and I could not sleep with the excessive noise. I finally got up and went downstairs and told the desk clerk. She said she was sorry and that I could call the manager on Monday, since I felt I should not have to pay the cost of the room after only having three hours sleep.
I then went into the women's restroom and was horrified by the filthy conditions. Garbage was strewn all over, and someone had been sick in there. I walked back to the elevators and saw that the handle on the side door leading to our car was broken off, so the door was inoperable.
Since it was already 4:00 in the morning, we decided to just stay up and leave early. When we checked out, the desk clerk again apologized for the excessive noise and again said I should contact the manager.
I called the manager, Brandy, on two separate occasions the next week and the week after. I was told by two different clerks that she was out for two weeks. One clerk told me there was nothing they could do, that they cannot control their guests. I agreed with her on this, but also told her that they COULD control the environment.
I then wrote to the corporate office and told them what had transpired. They did not respond, whatsoever, to my comment and concerns. Apparently they do not care about their guests' stays; they only care about the dollars in their pocket.
I will never stay at any Ramada Inns again. I paid well over $100 for three hours of sleep and two hours of aggravation; yet, the Ramada corporate office has refused to acknowledge my complaints.
Please do not waste your time or money to stay at this hotel--they don't care about your stay.
