Far exceeded my expectations
By Michelle, 06/21/09
Staff were friendly and helpful. Pool and 2 hot tubs were awesome. Room was clean and newly furnished. I have stayed in some 4 star hotels that did not meet the same standards as this HoJo. I will be back again! (I noticed some poor reviews below on cleanliness, I am guessing this HoJo has been renovated because the entire building seemed clean and new.)

DISCUSTING HOTEL
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/04/08
I stayed at the hotel a couple weeks ago and it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.I stayed on the second floor, and The toilet was leaking for days, and noone bothered to come and fix it.I called the front desk for service and they were very rude. The next day i was asked if i wanted my room cleaned and i just wanted towels, and they said they didnt have any..what hotel doesnt have any towels, there is no need for that, there should be plenty for everyone. The people in the room next to us were very loud, had tv on all night and talking very loud, and nothing was done about it.The tub was very dirty with hair all over it.I will never come back to this hotel, and I wouldn't reccomend it to anyone!

Im not going back.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/20/08
The heat wouldnt say on. We left the room for mabey 5 min. We come back up, and it was freezing inside. The pool area was absolutly descusting. There was hair cloging the drains, in the area you walk around the pool. The hot-tubs were a green substance, there was a glue-like substance around the edg of the water in the hot-tubs. There wasnt enough towels, the hotel cleaners didnt take the old towls, and replace them with new one. Like other hotels i have stayed at. The beds were very very uncomfertable. We requested a pull out bed, The night we made reservations, and asked for it to be ready in the room. When we got there it wasnt, we had to go down to the front desk, and ask for one once again. The pull-out bed, had pin like things on it. They were stabing into my back all night. Therefor i couldnt sleep and my back hurt very badly in the morning. The heater got very loud over night. It was wakeing the kids in the room up, and they are very very sound sleepers. If we walked out of our door, we could hear people in other rooms yelling, and being stupid. The cups that are placed in the rooms, for coffie were very dirty. There was fingue prints, and marks for some kind of drink in them before we got there. Over all, i would never request this hotel to a friend family member, or even someone i absolutly hate. The staff was horible, so was my stay.

OK for airport
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/06/08
Nice place, great service, average location. Park'n fly option great for the price. Restaurants don't quite make it. Quick bite, OK but a real meal? Good deal for the money, especialy for trvelers with kids (pool).

Horrible!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/19/07
For $180.00 per night the A/C did not work, so we opened the sliding glass door to get some air (2nd floor) but had to close that because people were partying in the parking lot until 3 AM. Yelling, foul language, and behind my car were beer bottles, glasses etc. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the pillows were giant foam rubber things impossible to get comfortable on. We got maybe an hours sleep total. Definitely a 3rd rate hotel and a major rip off. We would have been more comfortable sleeping in the car.

It's a Keeper!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/01/05
Have stayed at this hotel numerous times. The staff are very cordial and more than happy to satisfy. Rooms are comfy and clean. Many amenities such as exercise room, pool, hot tub and all for a reasonable rate. Hotel is located close to shopping and dining which is very convenient for the traveler.

Worked for me!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/30/04
I stayed 2 nights and it was great for me. I came to Portland to go on a school interview at UNE. I felt safe, comfortable and the room was perfect for my needs.I liked that the room had a micro & frig. so that I could purchase groceries and save time & trouble of having to go out to eat.

What a terrible stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/16/04
We arrived 8:30 on Friday night. The room had a queen bed and sofa bed. The room was extremely small. We opened the sofa bed to find dirty sheets. How gross! Pool hours are from 7 am to 10 pm. We tried to go for a swim and 8:55 pm and we told promply at 9:00 pm we had to leave because our child was under 18 years old. Five other families with young children also had to leave. THERE WAS NO ONLY ADULTS AT THE POOL. The maitance said he was just enforcing the rules. What a stupid rule.People are on vacation kids, do stay up later over vacations. When your paying a $120.00 night customers should be able swim anytime during pool hours. Adult time should be after 11pm or later when most kids 14 under are in bed. People also ran through the halls til 1:30 in the morning. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone.
