Brewer Motor Inn, Brewer

I have tried for 2 hours....just to get an answer...all I get is a busy signal..not happy...I realize this is Maine but a motel, hotel or Inn should have someone awake at the desk. What if I had a loved one staying there and had a crisis in the family and can't get in touch with him or her???O

I stayed in room 116 and it had no burn marks from cigarettes and did not smell any either. I do not smoke so I would know. The bathroom was clean with marble floor and the beds were clean. Not the belair it is a working man/womans motel and ideal for truckers as you have a near by diner. And I must say the front desk was cordial and not rude to me either. If you are passing thru here or coming by bus the station is a mile and a half away I would highly recommend that you come here for your place to stay Brian Mino. Satisfied customer.

We were there in the winter and the place was jammed!! Kids love pools and they were using this one to its fullest capacity. The place was clean and the breakfast was much more than just a continental and had a wonderful variety! We would go again! It's not the Ritz, but it wasn;t charging Ritz prices either-lol.

After reading these reviews I was dreading going to the Brewer Motor Inn for a recent wedding where we'd been booked. We stayed in Room 116. The room was clean, the beds were sufficient (not broken, not run down or saggy in the middle etc). It's not amazing, but then, you're not paying an amazing price. The only negative I had was the room did have an odor -- It was a non-smoking room that smelled like a smoker had decided to hang out in there and they'd tried their best to cover it up.

The lady that checked us in was rude. The hotel room smelled like someone had smoked a millon of cigaretes in it. You could see the yellow nicatene on the walls. The bed was not comfortable-springs sticking out. The furniture was old and had cigarete burns in it. There was no alarm clock. There was mold in the bathroom. The only towels were 2 face clothes and 2 hand towels. They said they had "contenential breakfast"....well it was gross looking donuts wrapped in plastic and coffee. They didn't even have milk/cream for the coffee. I would defintely not stay there again.

The price was the only thing good about this hotel. We stayed in a non-smoking room which smelled like smoke and had cigerette holes in the carpet and on the night stand. One of the beds was broke in the middle...the boards underneath were touching the floor!

It's definitely over priced considering my room looked like it was furnished at a second hand store. If I got really desperate, and if it was only $35 a night, I might "might" consider staying there again.
