Nice place to hang your hat!

The room was average size. Decent distance from the sights, so it was quiet at night. The jazz murals were awesome. Conceirge and the shuttle driver were two of the nicest guys you could meet. I would stay again. Walgreens across the street was also a plus.

Great Hotel

We booked this hotel because we wanted to be close to the French Quarter but didn't want a hotel right in the middle of the quarter. This hotel was located a quick and safe walk away from the quarter and was perfect for what we needed. The room was nicer then I expected and I would most definitely stay there again.

Affordable and Convenient

A group of friends and I were disappointed with the first hotel we chose for our trip so we searched for an affordable and more conveniently located hotel. We found that at the Holiday Inn while exploring the neighborhood. Located in the French Quarter the hotel was close to all the hot spots we came to see but far enough away from Bourbon Street that those of us who wanted a full night's rest slept peacefully. The service was excellent, friendly and informative suggesting to us many local sites to explore and tours to see. The Indoor Pool was a wonderful relief on a hot day as was the air conditioned and clean rooms from our nightly romps around the town. The Holiday Inn wasn't our first choice but it should have been.

Right after Katrina

I was sent w/my job to New Orleans 2-3 weeks after Katrina. Even though we could not use the water in the hotel, half the restaurants were closed and the hotel restaurant was closed down (all due to katrina of course), I still enjoyed staying at the hotel. The staff was very short staffed and yet they worked long hard hours to accomodate all of the workers (not just from my job) that were there for the search/rescue effort as best as they could. And since I was not from around there, they were very helpful with directions to get my way around a state I was unfamiliar with. When I go back (hopefully not after another hurricane), I would stay again!

good for the price

This is a nice hotel for the price. The major problem is that it is not in the safest area. While it is "walking" distance to the french quarter, it is not a safe walk and I would recommend taking a cab. Other than the location, I had no complaints. The staff was nice & my room was clean.

The people working there makes this a great Hotel to stay in

After reading a lot of reviews about this hotel I decided to stay here because of the price and the proximity to where i was going to run my errand for the week. I am soooooo glad i chose it!!! We stayed in the 18th floor and paid 99 dolars per night for a king b room including complimentary breakfast and horsdoevres. Stayed there for 2 nights. The people where so nice! Specially those in the concierge desk and the ones who drove the shuttle. I really enjoyed the pick off and drop off service they have. My husband also congratulated me for picking this hotel. We did not have any complaints. the rooms were cleaned and serviced every day. We did not have to worry about driving the whole time we where there. We did everything through the shuttle service they had. We really enjoyed the priority service of free continental breakfast from 6-10 and free hors doevres from 5-8. We ate breakfast in the morning, went out to eat for lunch - and ate hors doevres in the afternoon. The lady from the kitchen area there was very nice - she even waited for us one time to come and eat all we wanted even after the time was up ...The staff there made it worth the stay. CONGRATULATIONS on your hospitality management!!!!

Great place to stay

Very nice...had seen not so good reviews so was a little skepticle. Very friendly staff. Food not excellent but definately eatable. Great choice!

i would stay there again!

i stayed there last week with my grandmother!i got sick,but it wasn't their fault!Except...they should have had aspirin or tylenol at the front desk!But the view was great and we stayed on the 8th floor where the pool was located!I took great pictures of the city!But when we needed help at the front desk,they would ignore us,like this one lady was talking on the phone to her boyfriend and she did not ask us what we needed!But other than that ...that hotel is rated a 8.7 out of 10!

i loved it the view was and is about a mile from the mall the only bad thing is that the t.v games and movies and games are too expensive.stay there
