Don't let the negative reviews fool you
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/09/09
The rooms where very clean, price was great, breakfast was outstanding, staff very helpful and friendly. Yes the hotel is old and the rooms are not 2009 decorated but the lobby is just grand. The rooms where so clean.

Avoid This Place Like The Plague
By KPC, 06/08/09
I could not wait to come home and write this review...This has got to be the WORST hotel I have stayed in. The room was moldie smelling, the pool and surroundings were deplorable, the room and hotel look unsanitary. A franchise needs to buy this place and just tear it down and start all over. ALSO, other patrons seemed questionable. Did not feel safe. Please read this review and drive 20 minutes in either direction to another hotel.

New management and great improvemnts.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/06/07
I been seeing a lot of negative reviews about this hotel. A lot of them are out dated and the hotel has gone through a couple changes since then. I am an employee there as well. Our restaurant prices have been adjusted. Our food is very good. We have a new chef who is amazing and can prepare just about anything. If good cajun cooking is what you want, then you are at the right place. The hotel is also under new management, so a lot of old problems are eliminated. We have a heated in-door pool and a fairly large out door pool. If your looking for a place to hold a wedding reception or function for your business or even a party, this is the place to be. The rooms are a nice size. Don't let old reviews of this place discourage you. New management and improvements have turned this place around. so give it a chance.

Beautiful on the outside Horrible on the inside.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/11/07
This hotel is absolutly beautiful on the outside and inside the lobby. The rooms are horrible. We walked into our room and the chair next to the bed was holding up the air conditioner unit. There was also a very foul smell and to get extra towels is a hassel. If the house maids are gone you can gaurantee you will NOT be receiving any extra towels. The pool was green and the inside pool was broke and half way drained. This is a perfect example of how looks can be deceiving. For the same price the Comfort Inn down the road was 100% better. It made this hotel look like a Motel 8.

Took a chance
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/03/07
The rooms are nice and clean. The lobby is beautiful. There are two pools. The indoor pool was dirty, though. The outdoor pool is very large. We were there with a girls' basketball team. Beware! there are construction workers and shifty-looking repairmen all over the place. There is camper village on the back of the property. I think it is filled with construction workers and day laborers. Pay with cash!

Do Not Give This Hotel A Debit Card
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/11/07
Stayed one night and charged for two! Five calls, talks with a supervisor, and a letter to the general manager over the past month have fallen on deaf ears. Hopefully, when I dispute the charge on my bank statement, my bank will find a way to get Landmark Hotel to correct the error.

A Dump
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/23/07
I have been traveling since the late 70's. This is the worst hotel I have stayed in & I have stayed in alot. The room was moldie smelling, no fixtures on the kitchen sink, plaster falling off the ceiling, & the room just look unsanitary.

Stay Away from this place
By Dennis, 04/20/07
It took over an hour to check in. The room they put me in was tore up and under renovation. Took another hour to get another room. When I checked out, I stood in line for an hour. When I got to the counter they could not find me as a guest. It took another hour and finally I just left, hoping my bill would be for no longer than I was there. Service was terrible.

AWFUL
By VICKIE, 04/19/07
THE SERVICE WAS BAD. DID NOT HAVE ANY TOILET PAPER IN THE ROOM. THE PEOPLE WERE NOT FRIENDLY. HAD TO STAND IN LINE FOR ONE HOUR TO CHECK OUT. THE STAFF ACTED LIKE THEY DID NOT KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. I WILL NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!!!!!
