Super 8 Florence, Florence

We stayed at Super 8 Florence KY for 1 nights and this was our first visit to Florence KY. The staff is always helpful and courteous; who went out of their way to provide great recommendations and directions. The property is tastefully decorated and always nice and quite. The rooms were comfortable and spacious with all the necessary amenities like, TV, Hair Dryer, Microwave, Refrigerator and many more. The bathroom was newer, spotless & had all the amenities one would need. The best place to visit near by is Paul Brown Stadium and Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal. I would highly recommend staying in this Super 8 Florence KY!!

Staff: Rude, obnoxious, arrogant, disrespectful liars Facilities: Stinks to high Heaven! Filthy and nasty!!! If given the choice of staying here, or a pig sty, choose the sty; at least the pig will probably be friendlier!

We reserved a room on 8/23/10 through Wyndham Rewards for 7/7/11 through 7/9/11, got there around 3:30 pm on 7/7/11 to check in and was told they ran our card around 12:30 that day, it was declined and our room was canceled. My guess is whoever runs this hotel is very greedy, has no respect for their customers, saw that we were given a $53.99 room rate and wanted to resell the room at a higher rate due to NASCAR weekend at KMS. We talked to our bank afterward - they confirmed that no such card transaction took place and our card is in good standing. We also talked to 4 other couples in the lobby who reserved a room through Expedia - he pulled the same crap with them. The English speaking guy behind the counter would not let us get a word in edgewise, even though my card was used merely to guarantee the room until 4 pm 7/7/11, then had the nerve to order us off the property and called police after we told him this was unAmerican. Before police arrived, he followed us out and tried to goad my husband into fighting with him saying things like, “Why you leaving, are you chicken?” We called the main number for Super 8 after the police believed this crook's story and ordered us to leave this sham of a business. We talked with a wonderful woman named Jackie who took our complaint and gave us a case number. She also included my conversation with our bank in our complaint. She was able to secure us a room in Cincinnati, Ohio at $50 a night. The room was further away from the speedway, but at least our planned trip to KMS was not totally ruined. Jackie also tried to call the Super 8 in Florence to get their side of the story and said he was very argumentative with her as well. She also caught him in lies about standard Wyndham chain policies and about his interaction with us. We have stayed in many hotels throughout the U.S., have booked our stay for NASCAR races well in advance, and have never been treated so disrespectfully or dishonestly. When we arrived home this morning, my husband went online and emailed the mayor's office of Florence, Kentucky to let them know of our horrible experience in their “fair” city. Super 8 in Florence, Kentucky needs shut down - this is no way for anyone to do business!!! When we rent a room, we leave it the way we found it - in a clean, organized manner. We certainly did nothing to this horrible man to be treated so unfairly. After reading all the other reviews about how filthy the hotel is, perhaps it was a blessing in disguise that we didn't stay in this dump. Avoid this hotel at all costs - it's a Nightmare on Dream Street!!!

My husband I along with my niece was visiting Cincinnati and booked this hotel in advance thinking it was the hotel we had stayed in 2 years before but as soon as we got there we realized it wasn't and it was too late to cancel our room. We stayed 2 nights and it was the WORST 2 NIGHTS of MY LIFE. The room was TOO SMALL- A/C DIDN'T WORK RIGHT- STUFFY- MOLDY SMELL- Tiles in bathroom broke- sink in bathroom leaked- very small towels- only 3 towels- The sign out front displays DELUXE BREAKFAST {in the lobby} it is so small, it is next to the entry way, front desk and it is very loud in there. Employees laughing, going on, then arguing. You never know. Breakfast was from 6-9:30 went in Saturday morning at :9:05 and nothing. I asked and they said that they ran out and it was too close to 9:30 they weren't going to get anything more. Sunday morning I went out there at 8:10 and got some apple juice for breakfast and there was 3 other people in there and it was so crowded that I got bumped by another guest and spilt my apple juice all over me and the floor. Every day sometimes twice in that day the tv would just go out. the 27' old model tv. the remotes had tape covering the batteries. Says free WiFi but that didn't work either. If you are looking for a place to relax and rest then go up to exit 181 and stay there. They have a lot of guests who are living there. One girl told me her and her family had been there over 2 weeks. Beds where NASTY! Cigarette burns, black spots and much more. So moldy and stuffy all of our noses where stuffed up so bad when we got up we could hardly breathe. My nieces nose even bleed.

This hotel was horrible. First off when we arrived the hotel smelled like mold and was very hot. The room was clean, though there was one towel. When we asked for another few towels there was a towel "shortage." We waited about 2 hours until we finally took a clean one off the maids cart. The toilet paper was very low and we also had to take another roll of the maids cart. It was very loud with people jumping around at night. The snack machine was all the way upstairs also. The pool and spa were nice though. Horrible service if you ask for something it will be there in about 4 hours or so. The hair dryer was bad it only worked for a minute then cut off. Also, they wouldn't clean our room. The whole place smelled like smoke I would NOT recommend it. It feels like I'm writing a compliant rather than review.

heres are story but never i mean never come here we are on vaction for a wedding we are from mt. carmel ant ways we thought we would stay in a nice super 8 hotel right well its so small even the pool its the size of a bathtub ...never ever come here it was like a ride through hell.. theres ants every where our first room smelled like a strong mint awful smoke to then we got a new room never come here never come here again ..and also the bassest part of town there surronded by stupid mexicans and there was a shotting around there a couple of weeks ago NEVER EVER COME HERE!! but here i am now setting in the holiday inn best hotel ever i recomend come here never stay at SUPER 8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We stopped over on our way home from vacation. We chose Super 8 for it's value and good reputation. We were disgusted with the lack of cleanliness of this motel. The hallways reaked of cigarette smoke even though we were on the non-smoking floor. Apparently, the outside doors were propped open so all of the smokers could go outside. This was also a security issue. Our room door could not be accessed with our key - we had to prop it open in order to get in and out. The room itself was mediocre at best, but the bathroom was filthy and the toilet handle was broken. Half of our lights in the room did not work either. The desk person seemed unconcerned about all of this. It was horrible, noisy, smelly and I doubt we will ever stay there again.

The room smelled...fridge made noices and smelled...hallways were dirty...ceramic floor by the stairs looked like it has never been swept (nasty)...food was left outside attracting ants...breakfast was horrible (nothing super start about it) indoor heated pool was cold. Whomever owns this hotel needs to get their act together...this is not a motel it is a dump.

staying there for a cubs/reds series and the hallway smelled like pee and the rooms light was flickering off and on.

Well this is a total flip flop hotal. We pull up to check in and there was a man sitting in a robe (with not much esle on) right outside the lobby. i was praying he was not on of the employes. Boy was i wrong, he did work there. As for the room we go to make coffee the next morning to find that house keeping did not even empty the coffee and filter from the guest that stayed before us. Both our mattresses had plastic under the covers (makes you wonder why huh). As for the indoor pool, might have been the only good thing about it. BUT there is a spa there and the water temp. was not much hotter than the pool water. The breakfast i cannot complain about they really do about the same as most hotals. You always get what you pay for. i just think i did not. hotal needs a little upgrade.
