Ramada Inn Owensboro, Owensboro

We had a wonderful stay at the Ramada. They have a beautiful indoor pool and great breakfast area. The staff was awesome!! They did everything in their power to get anything we needed, and they did get everything we needed. Thanks, Ramada!!

We spent our honeymoon here and enjoyed the paris suite and the jacuzzi felt perfect after our beautiful and sweaty (hottest day down there this summer!) wedding day. There was some construction going on and you could see where it had been looking kinda dumpy, but it was starting to look really nice. We really enjoyed the pool. Really liked the water fountain! Love that they had breakfast, but was a little disappointed that there wasn't much selection. Only thing I really got a little upset over was housekeeping. We had to move from the paris suite to another less expensive room, which was perfectly okay. But we had only just fiinished an early breakfast and I had gone to my room to get a few things. The housekeeper had been knocking on the door. I told her that we would be moving to the other room in about an hour and that we would call the front desk to let them know we were out. We had plenty of time to move from the room before "check out" as it was only 9am. She said okay and moved on. We then went to say good bye and thank you to my in-laws who were staying in the other part of the hotel. It was only 20 minutes later and I had to run back to my room and was surprised to see that the housekeeper had went into our room and was cleaning around our stuff. I had to put aside saying good bye to my inlaws who were in a hurry to leave for michigan to move everything out of that room and take it to another. Thought it was VERY RUDE of her to go into our room... after we had even hung a privacy sign out and told her we wouldnt be out for an hour and we would call as soon as we were. Oh another thing, the room, we moved into had a bar of used soap in the shower, kinda gross! Asked a housekeeper to clean it and she was very nice and apologetic. Besides that, we really did enjoy our stay and I would like to go back for our 1st year ann. and am excited to see what it looks like after the construction. A little mix up at the front desk when we were checking out, but they were VERY nice and did everything possible to make sure we were taken care of. Im a supervising housekeeper at a hotel so I understand mistakes can be made, BUT when there's a privacy sign put out, and a guest tells you they will call when they are out... you NEVER EVER go in their room... So if you stay here I suggest you let the front desk/housekeeping know you dont want girls barging into your room.

I loved staying at Owensboro Ramada Inn. Its really a nice place now that it has been renovated. The lobby is awsome and the rooms are clean comfortable and nice priced, the pool is great and we loved the hot breakfast. It really dosnt look like the same place anymore.

its my understanding that this hotel is under new ownership. i am told that the previous owner ler the place get run down, the new owners are in the process of restoring this hotel to its orgional luster.. the new owners are making improvements to the hotel daily, this is a nice place and i feel that all the negitive comments should not fall on the new owners... this place is going to be restored to it orgional grand luster and it will take some time..given the opertunity to prove them selves the new owners will make this hotel a place to be proud of and a place that people will reconmend to others.. they have great plans for this old diamond in the rough and with time the owensboro ramada will shin once adain. with improvements like all new refurbiahes rooms with new furnitur and fixtures, new carpet and climate control equipment, fresh paint and beautiful green plants thru out the lobby, remodled suits and full service resturant that servs fine foods, this is what this hotel once was and will be again in the near future,, the owensboro ramada is a gem that is getting a new shin, and will sparkle once again with its new ownership and bright future

Well, were do I start. When we called to get a room we were told that we would have a crib for my one and a half year old son. When we got there they had just given the last one away. So we had to go to wal-mart and bye a travel bed that we really didn't have the money for. Then We called up the front desk and asked for another cover and they told me that they would bring one to our room. We never did get that cover. Then leaving the worst for last. I got up the next morning to take my shower and black stuff come out of the water. We have been calling the hotel to get the charge taken off of our card but they will not even take to us now. Our stay was really really bad and I would think twice before staying here.

This hotel is one of the worst places I have ever stayed, even compared to foreign countries. Ramada Corporation should do its best to close this one down. The only saving grace about this hotel was the free hot breakfast and the nice lady taking care of it. The desk staff were abismal.
