This was the worst hotel ever, dirty dirty, nasty nasty, the internet should fine them for misadvertising on the web, pictures are not what you will get.

Great time with our kids and grandkids.
By 'SunnysideUp', 1/29/10
When we arrived we got a room that was suppose to be a non smoking room but when we got inside we could smell the cigarette smoke and we had a preemie baby with breathing problems so we called down to the front desk and they put a sign on the room to be recleaned and disinfected and gave us a better room for the inconvenience. The people were polite and went out of their way to make us feel welcome since we were out of state customers. I've read the other reviews on this page and as far as I'm concerned you can't please some people anytime but we had a very good time there and the place was very clean... even the room we got first was cleaned but it just was smoky smelling to us and they never even questioned it when we asked for a different room. Also, everything that the other people said don't work was working fine and all the linen was in great shape. I guess you just have to decide yourself whether you want to have a good time NO MATTER WHAT you face or if you just want to be in a bad mood. The glass will either be half full or half empty no matter what so you can either be a pessimist or a optomist. Have a nice time there. Its not where you stay or the conditions of it. Its the people you are with and we were with some very nice people... our kids and grandkids. None of us complained. We all had a lot of fun.

Better sleep in the car
By Travel, 9/22/08
I do not know were to start. We rented connecting rooms both were very musty and the door between them would not open. The pool area was in an outside building that was very nasty we would not allow the children to swim because the water smelled very bad. They say they have a complementary breakfast but when we arrived at 8am they had some cereal but no milk which was ok because they had no were to sit anyway. I called the desk clerk the evening we arrived and told her there was a problem with the air conditioner she said Ok and hung up that was the last we heard from them. I am not sure who wrote the good reviews on this place but I am sure it must have been the owners mother.

By Wayne, 9/22/08
This place was awfull the pool are smelled like the sewer had overflowed the rooms were very musty. The air conditioner worked but the termostat did not so you could either bake or freeze. The breakfast consisted of cereal with something floating in the milk. You want to avoid this place

Nasty Hotel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/28/08
This has been a terrible experience! My husband and I were traveling through Bowling Green and checked in. We walked up to our room and opened the door and the smell about knocked us down. The room was filthy. There was an actual cigarette butt on the floor in the bathroom. We turned around and went back to the office and demanded our money back. They she said no problem it had not been charged yet. We return home and recieve our bank statement to which it was BILLED! I call so they can fix the problem and they will not return my calls and give me the run around. I never got a chance to speak to the manager, they were never in supposedly. Do not stay here!!

DONT BE FOOLED
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/31/08
THIS PLACE IS AWFUL. AFTER MAKING RESERVATIONS THE POOL WAS "OUT OF ORDER", WHICH WE WERE TOLD BY OTHERS IT HAS BEEN OUT OF ORDER FOR A WHILE. SO WE CANCELLED OUR RESVERVATIONS FOR THE 2 NIGHT OF OUR STAY SO OUR DAUGHTER COULD SWIM WHICH WE PROMISED HER. THEY SAID NO PROBLEM. LOL!!!! THEY BILLED US ANYWAY AND LIKE THE OTHER GUY SAID IT TAKES AN ACT OF GOD TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK. AND DONT BE FOOLED, THE PICS THEY HAVE OF THE ROOMS WERE NOTHING LIKE OUR ROOMS. THINK THEY TOOK PICS OF THE DRURY INN AND CLAIMED THEM AS THEIR OWN.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/7/07
they charge your credit card wrong and takes an act of congress to get it resolved.the pool is a covered detached building, not indoor as they advertised.. no breakfast choices at all, with only 2 tables to sit at. prepare to stand up abd eat. why do pakastans-india-non american run such dumps.I will definitely call ahead to see if the next hotel I stay in is american or foreign ran...lousy experience for my family of four...

Warning!!!Do Not Stay!!!
By Terri, 7/19/06
My husband and I along with several of our friends stayed here for the NHRA car show. While at dinner, we had several items stolen from our locked room. Our room was filthy and the air conditioner did not work. Noone would fix the air and everyone was totally rude. When we arrived home from our trip I realized we were overcharged on our bill. Icalled back to the motel and asked to speak to the manager. The manager literally screamed at me over the phone calling me a liar and telling me that was just too bad and then hung up on me. Our friends had their own experiences with these people. I contacted the Econolodge main office with my complaint. I received a letter of apology but was told that because each motel is privately owned that there was not anything they could do,but they would contact the owner of that motel. As you can imagine nothing has been done. So please think twice before you decide to stay at this or any other Econolodge. Our friends and us will definately never stay at one again. I would sleep in my car before doing so.

Exactly what we needed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/11/06
We had a great experience at the Econo Lodge in Bowling Green, KY. We were on a family trip to the Caves, and Bowling Green is the closest city. The location is perfect, right off the interstate, easy access on and off I-65. We had a 2 bedroom suite with three beds, which was perfect of us and the kids. Asked for fridge, and received one within 10 minutes. Breakfast was plentiful, enough to fill us up until a late lunch. Front desk clerks are very nice. Gave us great advice on where to eat. Only wish we had asked them before we went to the "restaurant" next door to them. Do not suggest eating there. But, definitley think this hotel is a great place to stay. We'll be back next year!
