Beware of credit card hold
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/27/09
Nice, but very dated rooms. Beds were hard, but rooms were extremely clean and staff was friendly, helpful and quick to respond. Nice pool. This hotel seems to be closer to Mammoth Cave than the hotels in Cave City. My one complaint is I got a $78 dollar room and paid with my debit card. When I checked my bank account a couple of days later, the charge for the room is $135.08. Evidently some hotels put a "credit limit" on your card. The overage will drop off in 3 or so days, but this can make a difference to some people. They did not tell me this up front and I would have paid with cash if I would have known.

over 20 years of family re-unions. wonderful
By Norbert, 07/19/09
our family and friends love it enough that we were renting all the rooms for our re-unions. Love the great food. Love the decor and the quiet at night. It's turned into a golf resort so our group is getting smaller now. Miss the train and a lot of the employees that took such good care of us.

will return! staff excellent
By P, 03/30/09
just came back from our visit. Yes it is dated, but cleaner than any 4-5 star I have been in. The staff is magnificent! I understand the owners whose term ends on April first, let several of the once wonderful ammenities, ( i.e. Train for kids & stables ) go. New ownership takes place as previously stated in 2 days. Having met the new owner briefly, and knowing that each of them also have children, I expect to see changes. Making this the desitination it needs to be. To the staff, you made the trip wonderful! thanks again

Great place, getting better
By nick, 03/10/09
It is a wonderful place to visit. The restaurant has one of the best views you will ever see. I understand that there are new owners that are going to update the rooms (it could use some new life), but I hope that they do not change the wonderful feel of the place. I know that they are going to introduce some shooting sports (skeet/trap, archery, and sporting clays) and that combined with the good golf and good food should be wonderful.

RETRO YES, FUN YES
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/09/09
Some things do remain constant, the decor and the staff. That is what we count on each year we visit. The same staff greets us like family from year to year. We have visited each year for close to 25 years and love it. The pool has been remodeled. The kids can play in a safe enviroment where we can watch and know they are okay to go to the game room. We go to the attractions in town. The restaurant has the best food for the best price.

Great Food, Great People, Great Times
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/25/07
Park Momoth Resort is one of the best places to go for a long weekend vacation. I have been going to the resort for over fifteen years now and there is only one thing I don't like, and that is the careless people that come down from Mich.

dated but fun
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/31/07
the hotel is definatley dated. you could tell that in it's day, it would have been a great family place. someplace that you would spend a couple weeks. But still a fun place.. fantastic view and the best coffee i've ever had.

Great Service, Great Food
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/20/07
We drove into Park City late one night with no reservations, needing a place to stay. Just outside the city, we saw a sign for Park Mammoth Resort and turned in following the drive back through the woods where we arrived at the inn. We were impressed with the quality of construction. Even though the rooms were dated they were finely crafted. I recall the original tile in the bathrooms - Perfectly clean. Stainless steel sink bowls with excellent fixtures. Then, there was the dining room. What a wonderful experience. The food was gourmet quality. From light and fluffy pancakes for breakfast to Coconut Crusted Tilapia for dinner. Service was impeccable. If you plan to visit Mammoth Cave, Park Mammoth Resort is the place to stay.

This place is aweful
Service and food was good at motel. Beds are hard and nothing to do in area. Notice everyone elses review. "Been going there since 1964 when it opened" Its not changed a bit Im sure. Golf course is a joke. Golf staff is uniformative and rude. Yardage is way off on cards. It has been dry but still wouldn't help if it rained 3 straight weeks. All clover and weeds. Additional $12 per person for cart fees which is not included in package. I felt like I was mugged.
