STAFF IS AMAZING
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/16/10
A young lady by the name of JJ who worked at the front desk treated my family and I like one of her own family members. She treated us with great respect and gave us the best service anyone could ever expect to recieve from a front desk representative. Due to JJ's great treatment to my family we will stay at the Holiday Inn, Kansas State again and again. Thank you JJ! Who ever your boss is, you must do all that you can to keep this young lady. By the way JJ, thank you for the suggestions on dinner. A sold customer!

Awesomeness!!!! Fabulous!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/19/10
Easy online reservation! Room was ready and easy to access when we arrived, even at 10:00pm! Only negatives: 1: no refrigerator or microwave 2: a little pricey (but for convenience, cleanliness, etc. was willing to pay). Quiet for sleeping. No noise or light to interrupt sleep. Hot water for showers even during peak morning hours. Conveniently close to campus, which is where we are headed for K-State Jr. Day. Was even able to leave car parked here all day while on campus. If son chooses K-State, I am sure my husband and I will be back many times to visit!

Not sure I will ever stay here again.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/3/08
We were placed across the hall from the elevator. It would have been nice to know that when we checked in. The first night was very noisy at times and little sleep was had. The second night, a group of partiers were put down the hall from us and again at 2:00 am, the noise level was very loud. The last night however took the cake. We got back to the hotel around 5:00 pm and wanted to take my 11 year old daughter for a swim to let her wear off some energy. Our room over looked the pool and we noticed that there seemed to be a private party going on. I called the desk to ask if it was private and was told that it was some of the guest that were having the party, so it was not private. We decided to wait awhile before going down to see if the pool would empty out a little. The "guest" were going between the pool and a house on the next street where a large party was taking place. The "guests" in the pool were apparently drunk and drinking was taking place. While we watched, one of the guest got out of the pool and decided to urinate back into the pool. This all took place while my young daughter was watching. I called the front desk and complained, all they did was send a young man (about 10 minutes later) out and all he did was pick up a few towels and emply cups. He did not say a word to any of the participants of the party. After a while they left to go back to the party acoss the street so we went swimming. Around an hour later, the party group started to reappear and were loudly talking about drinking and taking cloths off to swim. At this time we left the pool due to the XXX rated party that was starting up again. If this facility is not a family hotel, then they should state this upon reservation. Also, we paid more at this hotel thinking that it was a nice one, then any where else in town. I will never book here again.

Clean~Safe~Modern~Comfortable~Accommodating
By Marcie, 3/14/08
I spent several hours online reading review after review trying to find a decent hotel in Manhattan, KS. I came to the conclusion that there are no good hotels in Manhattan and took a chance on the Holiday Inn @ Campus. It seemed as if all of the negative reviews I had read regarding this hotel had been left before the hotel was renovated. I was thrilled with our room at this hotel. I will definitely choose this hotel next time I stay in Manhattan. Check in was quick & easy even though the employee checking me in was brand new. Employees were friendly and greeted guests as they passed in the hallways. My favorite part of our stay was the exceptionally comfortable beds. The beds had crisp sheets and luxurious bedding. Each bed had 3 very soft pillows. The best sleep I have ever gotten in a hotel. There was no noise from any of the rooms beside or above us even though the hotel was full. There was only minimal noise from the hallway when other guests arrived. The room was average size & everything was clean and worked well. The bathroom is very modern, but small. There were plenty of TV channels to choose from and wireless internet was available. Small pets are allowed but a $50.00 fee per pet was requested at check-in. Since this was not mentioned on the website when I had made reservations, I was not required to pay the fee. There was not a good place outside for our pets to relieve themselves. We did not use any of the other amenities or eat at the restaurant. My only complaint about this hotel is the parking. They have a HUGE parking lot that was completely full when I arrived around 6PM. The restaurant attached to the hotel is very popular and had many customers. The hotel was also hosting 2 other events. The parking lot is not big enough for all of this activity in addition to hotel guests. There is also a problem with KSU students parking there and walking across the street to the campus. Guests are giving a parking permit to try to help with the problem. There is no parking allowed on the streets around the hotel. I had to lap the parking lot many times to find a parking spot. It was a major pain hauling our belongings & pets to our room. However, after reading the reviews from the other hotels in the area, I would rather walk a long way with arms loaded down in luggage than sleep on a hard bed in a dirty and mold infested room.

This hotel is very clean and updated. Houlihans is also connected. Super service and food. It is across from KSU Union and campus so perfect for visiting the campus or going to Aggieville.

Expensive, but worth it
By Ells, 2/28/07
This is a older hotel, but renovations have recently been completed. It is very modern with a great location next to campus and a few blocks from Aggieville, Bill Snyder Family Stadium, and many other KSU locations. Good beds and great Internet service. This is my favorite place to stay in Manhattan!!!

Suggestions during the renovation
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/29/06
I wish I would have been advised, at the time I made my reservation, that this hotel was under renovation! I paid $90.00 per nite for 4 nites in a room that may have been worth $45.00. This hotel offered no amenities, just apologies. No pool, hot tub, sauna, work out room. No arrangement with other local facilities for those complimentary services, while under renovation. No "free" newspaper. The A/C did work, but was noisy. The unit sits with the back outside, so during a rainstorm over nite, the rain could be heard banging against the A/C unit. People coming to the room all during the day "checking" on the same things I have read from previous reviewers! Problems with the telephone...The TV worked. The bed was high and "ok". Under renovation? The interior design must have been done by someone who hallucinates! Those huge metal mirrors, do not compliment or go with the outdated wood furnishings. The renovated bathroom was also a designers night mare! The tile and grout work is very poorly done. Coffee pot in the bathroom? Please...I also had to wash stains out of the coffee mugs and just could not use the dirty/stained water glasses. The restaurant/room service personnel were excellent! I did not complain to management nor front desk personnel. I understand that these hotel management issues are not their concern and that they have nothing to do, but their jobs. I hope the multi-millions of dollars being spent on this project will result in this becoming the most spectacular hotel in the State of Kansas, BUT I DOUBT IT!
