Shame on the management of this establishment.
By Shawn, 5/26/12
Exit doors unsecured. Charged twice for same room. Loud live music from in house bar and grill went on until well after midnight. Staff unwilling to provide hospitable service. Staff provided excuses when asked important safety questions. Non smoking room smelled very strongly of stale cigarette smoke. No towels in pool area. Dirty towels strewn about pool area. Live insects crawling in hallways and room. Completely dissatisfied and would not recommend this establishment to anyone for any reason. This place should be closed until proper management plans can be established and employees can be properly trained on daily business tasks.

Absolutely the worse motel I've ever stayed at!!!
By John, 5/14/12
The motel itself was very dirty. The bed sheets had numerous stains on them and did not appeared to have been change. Staff was very rude when asked for new sheets. Motel was very loud and strong chlorine oder. There were at least 10 very upset people in front of me wanting there money back and leave. I wanted so bad to report this motel to someone but didn't knwo who to report them to. There wasn't a single thing that I liked about this motel. ABSOLUTELY THE WORSE MOTEL.

The only good thing is the pool
By FaZizzle, 1/10/12
The best part about this motel is the pool - they have a slide that's AMAZING for a motel of this quality. It may take 30 minutes to turn on, but hey - it's still a lot of fun. That being said, I wouldn't recommend this motel to anyone. Our complaints: 1. Delayed check-in time. We were only delayed by an hour though. What's funny is that the housekeeping start cleaning at 8 AM. 2. Despite a nauseating amount of cleaning solution, our room was filled with mold, sink stoppers that didn't work and a stains. 3. It took patience and a strong shoulder to get our door open, and it didn't automatically lock behind you like other doors. 4. We were positioned across the hall from the banquet hall. When we went by it at 5:30 we could a hear a birthday party going on (i.e. eating dinner). We didn't worry. 5. By 10:00 the music was turned up full volume. We inquired at the front desk who helped us little. They couldn't even tell us when the party would end. It varied from 11:00 to midnight. A "security guard" wearing a gas station employee shirt basically told us to stop harassing his staff. The clerk also told us that since we checked in at 4:00, we had plenty of time to request a new (most like unclean) room. 6. At midnight we again went to the front desk. The Night Auditor was amazingly the same guy as the security guard but had changed shirts. He basically told us to deal with it or leave his motel. The party was up until 1:00, and music blaring through it all. 7. We talked to some of the partiers from the night before, and they were stumped why they weren't put into a block of rooms by the hall. 8. The double charged our credit card AND also charged a credit card we had switched from when we arrived. So far they've charged us $400 for a 1 night stay for 3 rooms. We stayed there just a few day ago and so far refuse to remove the charges. To sum it up, our night's stay was saved by the pool. Everything else failed miserable. I'm generally a positive person and even this place pushed me to my limit. Do not stay here unless you want to leave with headaches.

Terrible
By Mary, 10/5/11
In all my years of staying in hotels, I have never stayed in one as dirty and in such disarray as this Ramada Inn. The carpets were unbelievably stained and there was mold in the bathrooms. I was there for three days attending a conference. The first day, my room key worked every other time - in between I would go to the front desk, they would swipe my key and it would work once. On day two, they sent someone from maintenance to replace the batteries on the door lock. While doing so the maintenance man decided that additional work would be needed and it would take awhile. He seemed very reliable and I needed to go to one of the conference sessions so he said he would lock the door when he was finished and leave a new swipe key at the desk for me. When I was ready to return to the room, I went to the front desk where I was told that maintenance was still working on the lock. I returned to my room to find the door propped open, the lock apparatus removed, the lights on and no one near the room. All of my things, including my computer which was on the desk were sitting out in plain sight of an open door. I waited for a half hour and no one returned. Finally I called the front desk and was told "oh, we're going to move you to a new room - come to the front desk and get a key." I had to leave my room unattended, find someone from the conference to watch my room, go to the front desk and get a new key and move all of my things. But wait, it gets better. The individual at the front desk marked room 31 on my key envelope and clearly told me room 31. I went to room 31 and it was already occupied. Back I went to the front desk and was told "oh, I meant room 30 - sorry." The staff were very nice but they didn't seem to think any of this was out of the ordinary. The entire experience made me feel like I was on a reality show that was testing how much filth and ineptness a customer would tolerate. It is unbelievable that a place can operate like this. I will never again even consider staying at a Ramada Inn.

Terrible
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/18/11
Got there at 4. Took them until 630 to 'clean' our rooms. Had asked for three rooms next to each other. Two were next to each other. The third was in a completely different wing of the motel. Air conditioner didnt work in one of the pair of rooms. It had average 95 degrees that week. Complained, but got a new room fairly quickly. It was the one right next to the pair of rooms, so we could have had all three rooms together. Unfortunately, the new room didn't have a functioning bath tub so we got to spend the weekend sleeping in the room with air conditioning but using the old room for its shower. This is the convention center for Hays?! i wouldnt stay here again, much less recommend someone have their convention there.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!
GENERAL MGR IS RUDE & HELPLESS! FRONT DESK PEOPLE ARE UNFRIENDLY & HAVE ATTITUDES & DON'T WANT TO HELP YOU. THE HOTEL HAS BED BUGS THAT THEY CAN'T GET RID OF IN SOME ROOMS. THE POOL IS DISGUSTING, CAN'T EVEN SEE THE BOTTOM OF IT. THERE'S STUFF FLOATING IN IT. THE HOTT TUB IS GREEN. THE SONA/STEAM ROOM DOESN'T EVEN WORK. SHEETS ONLY GET CHANGED HALF THE TIME, THERE'S MOLD ALL OVER IN THE BATHROOM & SOME PLACES IN THE BEDROOM. NON-SMOKING ROOMS SMELL LIKE SMOKE, I ADVISE PEOPLE TO GO ELSE WHERE!!! THESE PEOPLE TAKE YOU FOR YOUR MONEY!!!

Do yourself a favor and keep driving.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/17/11
First, the Assistant GM herself managed to screw up our reservations TWICE! When we arrived, we discovered that our room was STILL deleted from the system. We ordered a crib for the room after seeing the sign that said "free crib upon request". The front desk girl tried to charge us for it. After five minutes of arguing, I had to physically show her the sign next to her head that specifically said it was FREE! Even then, it came with an eye roll. We finally got our keys, but it took 15 minutes to get in because the keys only work part of the time. Numerous other tenants had the same problem. Once inside the room, someone's dirty socks fell out of our sheets when pulled back, so they had NOT been cleaned. The "heated" pool was ice cold. Our kids didn't want to stay in too long because of the temperature. The "hot tub" was anything but. Most of the time, there were no clean towels at the pool, but they made sure you didn't bring any from your room. That night when we "tried" to go to sleep, there were numerous screaming kids running around the central common area where our room was. We asked a woman if her kids could keep it down, only to be told "these aren't MY kids". It took THREE calls to the front desk over TWO HOURS for them to do anything about it! Even then, they sent MAINTENENCE to deal with it. Personally, I thought this would be an issue for management. After the problem was finally "dealt" with, the now disgruntled parents who were forced to tolerate their own screaming kids decided to start purposely slamming doors all night. Unfortunately, the front desk didn't want to be troubled with these kind of things. Needless to say, I'll never go back to this hotel.

A great stay!!! Very surprized
By JJ, 5/7/11
I read all the reviews and it look bad but once we got here to check it out I could see that things have changed. We wanted to come becuase of the water slide. The check in lady was extremely nice and helpful. Got us a great room, the key didn't work at first but there was a guy to fix it within seconds. Very clean, didn't not seem old, did smell like a pool but that's why we wanted to go in the first place. Loved the atmosphere and the kids loved it hands down.

Don't waste your money!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/10/11
Room had a terrible odor. AC did not work. Heater did not work. Called front desk 4 times in an hour, they never responded to my request to check heat/AC. Room not made up in an orderly fashion. Toilet ran 24 hours. Did not have bath towles in room first night. Towel rack and clothes rack were both rusted.
