Red Carpet Inn Suites Junction City, Junction City

First, the managers are no longer an ex-military and his wife. They were not friendly. The rooms have not been fixed, at least what we saw. I wouldn't even walk into the bathroom. The sheets were either moth eaten or had burn holes. We decided not to stay but the manager refused to refund our money. They only offered to 'upgrade' to a king size bed. We left anyway, it was that bad. Part of the problem is the info provided to the site I booked at. The suites are only available if you stay a week or more. They may be better rooms but we never saw them. The curious thing is, when I went to search for the corporate website for Red Carpet Inn, there isn't any. We stayed at a place on the other end of town. I would not ever consider staying here again. If you choose to stay, look at the rooms first, then decide. For only ten dollars more, you can get a room ten times better down the road.

This motel was absolutely filthy; bugs in the beds; bathroom unusable; no service; no lighting; would not refund our money; could not speak English. We lost over $50 as there was no way we would stay at such a nasty, unkept motel. The two tenants they did have were outside drinking and yelling at each other. Stay far away from this motel. If you have to stop at Junction City, try the Howard Johnson Inn....it is old, but at least clean.

The Red Carpet Inn of Junction City had apalling conditions, and I am not even that picky. We pulled in at midnight ready to crash and the room was so dirty that we did not even get under the covers. There were wet spills on the night stands, white powdery mess on the carpet, and a greasy faucet. I would have been more at ease sleeping in the car.

We arrived for a short stay & checked in. First, they argued about what type of room I'd reserved, then deliberately gave us the worst one available. The "non-smoking" room had ashtrays, cigarette burns in the filthy bedspreads, stunk like smoke, & was just overall atrocious. I was scared a rat or cockroach would run out anytime. The bathroom light was just a bare bulb, half the dresser drawers were missing or broken & laying there. The flammable polyester curtains had an old grungy lamp on the floor just under them and were hung by only a couple hooks anymore. The internet picture is a total misrepresentation of the place. The bedspreads were old, shabby, & filthy, nothing matched, the beds had to have been at least 50 years old & sagged. The bathtub was filthy, I doubt you could even get clean in it. Do not stay here!

Rooms were clean, fridge, microwave and hair dryer all worked well. Manager & his wife were wonderful. Price was reasonable. Stayed a week and would not hesitate to stay here again if ever back in Junction City.

The rooms are comfortable and tidy, and everything worked well. What I especially liked was the great service we got from the hotel managers. They drove us to places we need to go to, because we didn't have a car available at that time. The price is really low. I definitely liked my stay there!

I have stayed at the Red Carpet Inn for a week, and my overall experience is good! The hotel manager and his wife were very friendly and helpful beyond belief! Sure some thing are in dire need of maintenance, but if you note any such things - eg a non working phone - it gets fixed right away. The mess the people in the top reviews complain about are fixed since the new manager took over the place.

Every surface was filthy. Walls and ceiling with mold and mildew. Carpet and chairs-stained and dirty beyond belief. Totally disgusting. I cannot believe that this place has been allowed to stay open.

Never EVER stayed at a place this bad. Other reviews are spot on, although I did not notice anyone living there, but I wouldn't doubt it. Just didn't notice any kids screaming. Carpet so bad I didn't even walk on it without shoes on. Shower I used under pretense that the water hopefully will clean me, but I put the shower mat IN the shower to stand on, and a towel outside the shower, and tried not to touch anything afterwards. Water was hot enough and enough pressure. Furniture ALL stained and filthy. Didn't even try the breakfast, "just get me outta here!" and over to McD's. Bed very lumpy. Bedding seemed clean, my wife and I checked it out closely for bedbugs, and checked behind bedboard, and it was, well, not "clean" but bugless. Spend another $20 or $30 at a better place and sleep in comfort. Not wondering if you're going to pick up cooties at this miserable excuse for a motel.

i am sorry i didn't see this reviews before meking my reservations but after i did my husband found this reviews and we tried to cancel just hours after i made them and everyone gave me the run around,i called the 800 number several times and they said call the motel and when i did they couldn't understand me or they didn't want to cancel the reservation so they left me on the line. i was finally able to cancel that night about 2am. i just looked at my bank account and they still charged me have of the reservation after telling me they would not. we also stopped at the inn to check it out when we were in junction city and the reviews are not wrong the place is terrible!!!!
