Not perfect but a good value.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/27/05
We made reservations from Ramada Web site and got a real cheap rate! I would be upset if I paid full price. The property is run down but if you are willing to put up with it not being a four star hotel it is a good value. The pool area is nice, the hot tub is too, but it got slammed the night we were there and was not usable in the morning. The staff was friendly and courteous to us and took the time to take care of any problems. The breakfast buffet we had was actually quite good and tasty. The selection was limited but the food was plentiful and good. If you want a full breakfast buffet go to the Old Country Buffet that is only a 5 minute drive away. But it is not included with the room. Overall we were quite satisfied with this property. If you want a 4 star property go to one and pay a 4 star price. If you want a good lodging value this might be good for you. We would stay here again.

We'll never go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/27/05
the cafe was a joke. nothing to offer. even to the ice tea my husband wanted. The bills are mixed up and God ever know if it will ever get corrected. The lady that worked in the cafe I think got really upset because there wasn't anything that we wanted that she could get us. I felt sorry for her. The room was OK appeared clean, but our son wanted a pool side room and they wouldn't give him one. and the motel did not appear busy at all. We will NEVER stay there again!!!!!!

I agree with everything the previous reviewer wrote....but think I have her beat because our bathroom had a hole in the wall about 12 inches by 12 inches.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/13/04
This hotel is so old and gross. I have nothing good to say about the Ramada Inn, Coralville, Iowa. The outside looks like a jail and they have plastic flowers in their garden. We went in through a back door and it said on the door USE HOUSE KEY TO GET IN and you didn't even need a key to get in. The door was wide open. Then we get to our rooms and the beds were as hard as a rock. When you sat on the toilet it moved. And the shower was all gross. I didn't even want to take a shower the next morning. The next morning we wake up and they say that they have a free breakfast. So my family and I go down and we sit down at the restaurant and wait 15 minutes before we were even waited on. And we order our eggs and bacon and toast. It takes about 10 minutes to get our food. Once we get the food it is as cold as ice. We ordered a glass of orange juice and they said they were all out of it. So we order a glass of apple juice and once we get it there are crusty things floating in it. And the glass was probably about 4 oz. So finally we decided to leave. The only reason we stayed there was because of the mall 2 miles away from it. Next time I would rather drive an hour to get to the mall then stay at that hotel again. It was just an horrible experience. Whatever you do do not stay there. There is a Country Inn and Suites right next door, that they just built. Believe me it is worth paying a few extra dollars then staying at the Ramada Inn. And I'm sure all Ramada Inn's are that bad. Trust me and don't stay there.
