The staff was very friendly, and went out of their way to make our stay a good one. There was a bit of a disturbance late at night with some rowdy kids but it was promptly taken care of. There wasn't anything negative about our stay.

The first impression - the lobby - was not good. The coffee table was in disarray, coffee stains alll over the table and no coffee in the machines. There was dirt on the steps leading up to my room and down the hallway. It was still there two days later. There was a lot of debris on the floor of the room including finger nails. The AC is evidently outdated and could not cool the room - it barely ran with only a trickle of cool air emitting from the unit. The entire hotel reaked of chlorine from the pool. Just a bad experience, one that has me convinced not to return.

We were part of a wedding party staying in the hotel and the experience was horrible. Front desk had been notified of a strange man sleeping and hanging out in the lobby 3 times. The guy said he had a room but didn't want to sit in it alone. I asked the clerk if they asked him what room he was in and she said they didn't think to ask that. They went back and asked and the guy gathered up his things and left the hotel. Later that night the front desk clerk called the police on our group. When checking out this morning the homeless guy walked through the lobby!!! The restaurant manager said he noticed the guy washing up in the sink behind the bar but didn't think that was odd!!!!!! Not a safe hotel and there are other (better) options. Stephanie the night clerk is rude an disrespectful to paying customers and John the GM really didn't care. We were left defending ourselves and the hotel offered no apologies or thank you for our business. They were ungrateful to a group spending thousands of dollars with them.

The hotel staff was great... but when we checked in we were directed to the back of the building to park the door to the back entrence looked like it had been kicked in as did our room door. There was a rather large crack in our celling where bugs had started to congregate they was mold growing on our shower curtian and blood and the garbage can in our bathroom.

Sleep under a bridge before spending the night here. We had a group with 14 rooms last weekend. Several rooms were never cleaned after the first night, key required re-programming several times over the 2 day stay. Ice machines with signs on them "Out of Order". The bitchiest service person I have ever encountered on Sat. night working the front desk. The perfect storm for hell in a hotel. Read all the reviews, then find another hotel. We were there for a tournament, and when we told the tournament director about our experience, he said they've had other bad reports and are taking the hotel off their recommended hotel list.

If you expect a place that has friendly customer service and a clean hotel do NOT stay here! The front desk and the cleaning service are rude and unwilling to help! My room did not get even get cleaned one day and then when I wanted clean towels...they threw a fit!! I will NEVER stay at a Holiday Inn ever again! Unless they are willing to get competent people to run the place!! I did not feel safe here either!

Nice place to stay, always friendly and take good care of the customer. We stay here yearly and would not go anywhere else for our time in Davenport. Clean facility, well taken care of.

I stayed at this hotel and there is water leaking from the ceiling and the pool is very cold. I took my kids there over night thinking it was a nice family place and guess what we go home the next day with broncitis thanks holiday inn. Oh and I feel you on the mold situation that was horrible there was mold behind our toliet and around the sink and lime stains in the tub.

Nice things were the location and adjoining Bennigan's. The staff was also friendly. However, all was overshadowed by the poor room layout where the pool is located in a courtyard setting WAY too close to the rooms. Stayed 2 nights and it was VERY loud very late at night and early in the mornings. Also, the room was HOT with no air circulation to be felt. Asked front desk and someone was sent to "flip the switch" to allow cooler temps... but it did nothing. Very stuffy. Room was nice, bathroom aged and toilet ran constantly... but the bed was comfortable. Too bad it was too loud from the kids at the pool to get to sleep.

We reserved a room on Priceline, but arrived late and were going to get stuck in a smoking room with 2 double beds. My wife is pregnant and we asked if there was any way to get a non-smoking room. The lady was kind enough to give us an executive king room even though we had only paid for a regular room. This made our whole experience at Holiday Inn Bettendorf a positive one. A couple minor complaints: the ice machines were never working and the swimming pool water was freezing cold. But the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff would make me have no problem staying there again if the opportunity arises.
