STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY. LOCATION GREAT. VERY CLEAN LOBBY, HALLS AND ROOMS! WANTED TO STAY LONGER, BECAUSE THE ROOM HAD EVERYTHING I NEEDED: STOVE, FRIDGE, ETC. CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK THIS NEXT SUMMER!!

I thought I was in a garbage dump. This place has not been cleaned since the year of the flood. Under my pillow was someones underwear! Stains on the furniture, they were not food! Gross.

The ceiling was peeling and water dripped onto the carpet from the room above for several hours. The bathroom was so nasty, we refused to shower. The "continental breakfast" was a JOKE! All they have are some cheap danish and a regular sized box of Honey Nut Cheerios. The milk (an opened half-gallon) was "hidden" in a small fridge under the table and we were snapped at when we asked for it. There were no spoons and no coffee or juice. There was no coffee maker in our room and when I asked for one, the desk clerk brought me one from another room (dirty) with one small pkg of coffee. No coffee cups, no cream/sugar packets. Icemaker broken. No highspeed internet, one small packet of shampoo, carpet wet in spots and filthy. Smeared, dirty mirrors, graffiti on bathroom walls, entire room (icky yellow color) needed painted. No refrigerator in our room. Lamp missing knob cover, afraid to use. Ruined our trip. We slept badly, left dirty and hungry. Thank God for the Starbucks across the street by the mall! I will NEVER stay at a Rodeway Inn again anywhere. I would also rather sleep in my car and save the $50.

This hotel was VERY dirty and electrical wires exposed. One member in our party was shocked plugging in her hair dryer. Ice bucket was molded and had dirt in all corners. Shower curtain was dirty and moldy. Kleenex box was torn off wall and laying on cabinet. Phone and clock were both very dirty. Floor was dirty and damp. We had 3 rooms and they all where the same way. Some worse than others. Was very close to Merle Hay Mall, but would never stay there again. In fact we canceled our 2nd night.

This is the far best motel I stayed in Des Moines with my limited budget. At first, the look outside of the motel, which I admit looks cheap, but cleanliness of the room & quality of service is rich. If you planning to stay in Des Moines in limited budget & still wants most of your money counts, then I would suggest this motel for everyone. Some of the amenities includes free in room coffee, free continental breakfast, and free wireless internet access. Motel is located across from Merle Hay mall and lots of restaurant within walking distance. Motel is recently renovated, so rooms are nice with new beddings. I also like the room what I have, which is on ground floor with separate inside and outside access for the room.

This was the worst motel I've ever been in. Lobby cramped. Dirty. first room they gave us contained someone else's belongings. In the Second room the Bathroom had many tiles falling off the wall, looked as if not updated since 1945, room unclean. I didn't even shower it was so bad. Would sleep in my car before I would not go here again.
