Best Western Inn, Clinton

Lots of problems. Front desk manager took the liberty of changing our room to a single king before we checked in. With 2 kids that won't work. They were full so they put us in a suite with king and pull out couch. I requested a roll away because the pullout is small. Nice big room with 2 baths. Only one shower worked and the water ran brown the 1st minute. It wasn't the one in the king room either. No housekeeping next day. Went to the front desk on check out and asked them to discount for lack of housekeeping and we were told that was $179.00 room already discounted $100. We didn't reserve a suite so that meant nothing to us. We would have been happy with a queen double like I reserved for $79.00. Eventually, the manager that put us in the suite to start with discounted one night $20.00. We won't be back.

Apparently Friday night in Clinton is party night, the hotel filled with guests and kids at the pool,not that they disturbed me though! I slept great and woke to a hall full of silly-string, candy wrappers and drink bottles, yet I did sleep through all of that as I couldn't hear much. The only complaint that I have regards the cigarette smoke smell in the halls. Not a problem in my room though- it was OK. OH, and a noisy fridgette that I kept unplugging, but housekeeping was on the money and plugging it back in every day, so I know they actually checked the place out! I was happy with the housekeeping throughout the hotel. Friday night fish night, you could barely find a parking space- that was the place to be! I'd recommend this hotel. perfect location for my business trip, and I expect to be staying there next month on my return!
