Bad experience

The worst place I've ever stayed. Roaches in the bathroom and the sink pulling away from the wall. Hole in the door. Blanket on the bed had several cigarette burns on it. Bottom sheets on the bed were not fitted and did not cover the whole mattress. Window overlooked alley with junk laying around. Paid over $100 for one night. Nothing else available as State Fair was going on. Almost considered sleeping in car- it was that bad. I'm surprised the city allows it to stay open.

The place was very shabby. They allow pets and our room certainly smelled like it. Reeked of urine. View from our window featured dumping area for old broken tables,hoses and cans. Something had chewed the ends of the wooden hangars so you didn't want to hang anything on them.

good night sleep

not your fancy hotel but it will do for the price if you are stay 1 or 2 nights. There is a bar in the front of the building but you can't hear any noise. they are in the middle of remodeling. price is really good.the rooms could be updated alot more than what they are being now. It was cozy for a night.

Decent Joint

Not to far from downtown, good loacation. The best hotel in that particular area. Reasonably priced...you get what you pay for. Service was good, room was clean.

Rooms where good size and clean. Good friendly service. Parking lot was large with good excesice to rooms. Strong amount of clorine in the pool.

Great!! for the price!

We have stayed here several times as we visit family in Des Moines. Always a good experience. Great stay for the price. Nice indoor pool and hottub -- nice large room for staying with the kids. Friendly desk clerks and really a GREAT PRICE!! Rooms have always been clean and the location was great for us as family lives on the east side of Des Moines -- if you are going to the State Fair or to Adventureland, you can't beat this motel. Nice coffee and breakfast selection in the mornings -- wonderful to have Coffee, OJ, and donuts to keep the kids from Whining right away in the morning about being hungry. I'd say for the price (we have always paid right around $50/night) this is the best stay in DesMoines!!
