Back home again in indiana
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/24/09
I'm 28 years old from Fort Myers, Florida. So needless enough to say im used to a different kind of life than what is at Spring Mill. I was born in Indianapolis and it has changed so much through the years. But everytime I go back to spring mill park I get the opportunity to be home again... Spring Mill is truly what Indiana is all about... Its not just the "inn" you stay at... Its the village that takes you back into a different world.

BEST LOCAL GETAWAY
By Kristine, 11/25/06
I have been to the Spring Mill Inn dozens of times during my life. My parents took me there as a child. I have gone with my husband and children. My daughter and I go there just about annually on a GIRL'S TRIP. THe staff is always wonderful. The food is very, very good. The rooms are decorated with quilts and many have rocking chairs. The lobby is comfortable with a fire in the fireplace seasonally. There is a huge game room. They have a nice indoor/outdoor pool. The gift shop has great gifts. The park is wonderful. They have a MILL that works and they make corn meal. There is a pioneer village. The GUS GRISSOM memorial is there, commemorating Indiana's most famous astronaut. There are caves, hiking trails, etc. IT is a great place to get away, enjoy nature and relax in a very special inn.

Like Home

Spring Mill Inn is like home away from home. A great family atmosphere. Relaxing. Great trails leading from the Inn to various sites. Sit outside in the rockers and you will feel like you are on the Andy Griffith Show. :) The Lobby is really beautiful. I like that they offer so many games and areas where families can just be together and relax. Spring Mill State Park is one of the most beautiful parks I have been to. The trails are fabulous. Take a stroll through time at the Village. Go adventerous and hit the trail to Donaldson Cave. There are many trails you can hike that will lead you to many historical and wonderful landmarks. The Inn is just an added bonus to all that this park has to offer. I want to add that I have stayed here many times. And each time is as wonderful as the last.

Anniversary Retreat
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/10/06
We look forward to our anniversary in February and spending a few days at Spring Mill. Because of the distance and weather conditions it doesn't always work out. But the valentine banquet and the general atmosphere is great. We enjoy the huge fire place and the rocking chairs and just relaxing. Last Fall it worked out to meet dear friends from Southern Illinois at the park and spend time together. They were all for doing that again. We have always been well pleased with everything about Spring Mill. Dining service in the Inn is excellent and the rooms neat and clean. Thank you.

Weekend Getaway with best friends
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/02/05
This is the ideal place to get away from it all, to me it is like a whole other world. This is our 3rd time to stay at the Inn, we invited our 2 best friends along for the journey. Remembering the last time we were there it was in the deep fall of November which we share Birthdays there was a romantic horse and carriage ride we took at night, they picked up at the inn. Then the next day we set out on the journey for nashville to make our way through all the craft shops, one I like best is the Thomas Kinkade art gallery. Followed by a trip to the wine shop. So if you just want to get away from it all we are only 3 hours from Carbondale, IL The Spring Mill Inn has keep our memories for yrs to come.

A must go to
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/03/05
Every year my family goes down to Spring Mill for a family reunion, and it never gets dull. There are so many things to do. You have the nature center, the old village, plenty of trails, swimming, and much, much more. The lobby area is so confortable, and the recreation room is great. It is a place you can just go to and relax and have a good time. A must for all those who want to have a great time.

Thanks for the Memories
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/24/05
Spring Mill Inn has become the most precious memory out of ALL of our trips. When I'm feeling down all I have to do is close my eyes and take a trip in my mind to Spring Mill Inn and it always makes me feel better. We just Love sitting by the fireplace drinking our coffee in the morning....and sitting by the window in the resturant watching the birds eat out of the feeder. The place is so full of atmosphere you just fell like your at home. We're coming back again in a few weeks and I can't wait. Thanks for the memories.
