freindly staff, nice pool and hot tub,nice rooms. Above all has the best hotel bar of anyplace I had had ever stayed! be sure to check out Reeses Excalibre, friendly mix of locals and guests and reasonble prices had a great time

The staff was extremely courteous and helpful! The rooms were not super great, but they were okay for the cost! The hot tub and pool was clean while we were there and had no issues with getting towels! If you are looking for luxury, this is not the place, however, if you are looking for a place to rest your head after a day spent in Indy- it is great!

Wonderful Hotel with friendly staff. Recently renovated room. new king bed. Very nice breakfast layout by the pool each morning. Cozy little bar and lounge. Poll area seemed nice, but I did not get a chance to use it. Overall clean, friendly, and a great value.

We stayed here for a convention are were looking forward to the experience. The hotel dropped my reservation once and I had to rebook a room. Most of the front desk staff was either incompetent or rude. Some of their rooms were recently redone, but still seemed tawdry and not even close to spotless. For example a new-looking duvet, but ill fitting sheets. The older room wing was quickly nicknamed "Baghdad" because of the poor air conditioning, dusty, old, rooms, and the sewage smell in them. The hotel has a pool/atrium, which could be nice if the pool and hot tub were clean and the carpet was swept. Trash cans were typically to the overflowing and the pool needed a cleaning. Yes, there is a lounge attached to the hotel. But, during a visit a friend was hit in the head by one of the paddles falling off an overhead fan. The bar owner was more upset about where the paddle went then a serious injury. Another friend was physically moved by a bar employee/goon, while seated in a chair...guess they didn't like where he was sitting. Don't ask for towels. You'll be asked, "What do you need them for?" Don't trust them if they say you have a 2:00PM late check-out. They told all people attending the event they did, but suprise! Upon check-out, everyone who had not checked out at 11:00 were billed an extra $30.00. Brunch? Horrific. Oh, and did I mention we were double billed? You are charged all fees and taxes for the stay upon check-in (and not told that.) Then we were billed again when we left! Don't waste your time, energy, and money!

Internet usage is not included in rate, you have to pay $7.95 a night for the service. The sheets were very thin and dirty looking, and the exit door in the room had at least a 1" gap or better at the bottom. Parking was convenient though and overall it was quite.

I stayed at the Clarion for the Brickyard 400. I booked this hotel online, with a two night minimum at $200 per night. While sitting in the hot tub that did not work speaking with other guests, I found out that they were not required to book a two night minimum and had only paid $130 per night. I was advised by management that they initially start at a 3 night mininmum and drop it as it gets closer to the race. If you plan on staying at this hotel during a race do not bother to book in advance, there was plenty of room. However the over all feeling of this hotel is dirty and is in need of some serious updates. This hotel also does not offer any shuttles to the track, and the taxi certainly takes advantage of tourists. It cost $25 to go two miles to the track and $44 to get back, they can charge up to $44 on race day but do not have to charge this amount, this is what I was told when I called the taxi service. It does have a nice lounge area, and was reasonably priced, nice bartender, good service

We have stayed for three consecutive years for Race Week. Very convenient to the Brickyard and Raceway Park. However you pay the price. Words of advice get the suite it is only a few $ more. Room is somewhat more kept, big bathroom separate shower/tub. BUT if it wasn't for the convenience in location I would not stay here, I am a 4/5 star girl. Staff is helpful if you are persistent.

Old building, no window screens, bathtubs moldy, discolored bathmats, Rude front desk staff,incomptent ext. housekeeper.I will never go there again.My advice stay FAR away! the only nice thing was the pool.

The rooms were really neat and clean! But the attitude of some staff members needs improvement.Front desk people not very friendly. A head housekeeper, A hyper skinny Blonde, was rushing us out of our room at check out time when we were a late check out. The other housekeepers were really nice! I'd stay again. August 2005.

Spotty housekeeping, but enthusiastic desk crew. Starchy breakfast, but good lunch. Generally worn, but not worn out.
