Executive Inn, Evansville

This hotel has been closed and half of it torn down to make way for the new downtown arena. It is suppose to re-open later with about 250 rooms and new management.

I stayed there the night before the Mini Marathon and got 3 hours sleep due to loud noise on the 6th. floor. I called the desk twice and they tried to quiet the situation to no avail til well after midnight. My wake up call was for 4:45. so I was very tired for the race. I stayed here last year with no issues however, sadly I can't recommend it to others after this years bad experience.

no dining room, no pizza, terrible service...... no way do i recommend anyone stay here, ever!!

carpet was wet. beds were lumpy. rusty floor lamp. chair was falling apart. food looked like it had set to long in the kitchen. the tub drain was full of hair. the bed was unmade. dirty towels in the bathroom. the bed didn't have a balnket. there was only a sheet and a comforter as a bedspread. i think it was washed after each guest. the room had a unpleasant odor. the a/c didn't work. the bathroom was gross. there was a bug in the bathroom. i wouldn't stay here again.

Stood in line for 30 minutes to find out our room wasn't ready (at 6pm). They finally put us next to a party where everyone was smoking (it was a non smoking room)! We were there with a group and had 16 rooms total. Out of 16 rooms only 3 rooms were not up all night because of the bar in the lobby. YES! THE BAR ROCKED UNTIL 3AM IN THE LOBBY!!!! It was not dirty, but could have been much cleaner. It snowed 3 inches the night we arrived and the front walk and doorway still hadn't been cleared at 9am the next morning!!!! Very rude, UNPROFESSIONAL, disrespectful employees that didn't want to be there! BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!

I work in Evansville twice a month and my company puts me up at this place because it is just across the street. It is a terrible hotel. Rude, unprofessional, possibly insane staff, disgusting rooms with bug and odor problems, overpriced and unpalatable food in the restaurant. It's a hotel in which I expect to find dead bodies in the mattresses, like in the movies. The rooms are dank and smelly and dirty. One of the worst aspects of staying here is the other patrons, frankly. Loud, drunk and with screaming children that run around the hallways like they're at a playground. This has been my experience every weekend that I'm there (2x a month for 3 years, it's a significant pattern) It is a place to avoid at all costs.

I used to stay there many years ago and its just not the same. The staff is unfriendly, the buffet is horrible and the roaches are everywhere! I was afraid to get up at night for fear of stepping on them. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and I had a nice view of the city since I was on the 6th floor. I was staying there for a wedding reception, and the serving staff in the ball room were very friendly and attentive. I would stay there again.

We found the rooms clean and the employees friendly and helpful. We went to Casino Aztar and it was great that they shuttle you to and from the casino. The restaurant was very good too. The price of the room was really pretty cheap (We paid $71.00 a night/ King Bed). We didn't get in the pool but it was large and very clean. They do not have a hot tub which was the only thing I was disappointed in. When I asked they said it was due to a new Indiana law it has to be emptied three times a day and cleaned and it was too much trouble for them. It was a fun weekend.

My wife and I stayed there during a religious convention this past April. Very loud thumping from the bar on the ground floor reverbrated through the whole building in the wing we stayed in. This went on till late at night, keeping at least me awake. Our room was basically clean, though the hotel is old, doesn't have enough elevators and convenient ways to get your luggage from the parking garage across the street to your room. You have to go to the parking garage via an over the street walkway which does not have elevator service. All in all this is another (inner city) hotel which has seen its day.
