Wyndham O'Hare, Rosemont

We came to Chicago for the Labor Day weekend. They have a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Depending on who you call at the front desk, shuttles are every 15 minutes or 30 minutes. The truth is more close to 30 mins. We once had to wait for 45 minutes. The room size is not bad, however very dated and old....carpets dark green, who knows how old.....I didn't want my feet touching that. The bathroom is scary - small and dirty with mold. I wonder how a reputed company like Wyndham has its name on this hotel. Its not worth staying at this hotel even if you get a good rate - just stay away. And to add to this, they charge for car parking. There are a bunch of hotels close by....Marriott, Holiday Inn....I have not stayed in these, but anything else will be a better way to spend your hard earned money.

hallway smelled musty. the front desk was rude. the toilet in the bathroom over flowed. the peeling of the paint and wallpaper was coming off. the a/c was noisy. shower fixtures were coming of the wall too. the sink had a crack in it. the water was cold. bedspread was dirty. the soap was used in the bathroom. i wouldn't stay here again.

I've read previous reviews indicating that this is a bad hotel. I would strongly disagree. My family had a good experience when we stayed her in December of 2007. I would definitely go back again. My purpose in writing this review is to give a clear picture of what to expect when you stay at the Wyndham. First of all join the by request club because you will get a nice snack when you arrive in your room. The room service is expensive, as is at all hotels. The rooms could use some minor repair, such as chipped paint etc., but the rooms were very clean. The pool was very nice too. It is a little difficult to negotiate the hotel, but manageable. The two resturants offer a nice selection of food. The entry way of the hotel is beautiful, and I felt safe at the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are going to a concert at the All State Arena. My daughter and I walked to and from the hotel to the arena, and it was a very short distance. Overall the hotel is not perfect, but I have stayed at worse and paid more. So yes this is a desent hotel to stay at, and I plan to stay there again the next time I go to the All State Arena. This hotel was VERY frustrating...Parking problems, broken elevators the whole 3 days I was there, unclean, and when asking a maid questions she didn't even speak english! I'll never go back!

After a miserable flight with United who had forgotten to service the plane, we were stuck in Chicago for 24h. After a lot of searching we found the bus stop for the shuttle to Wyndham. When we arrived at the hotel it took about 10 minutes to get checked in. The frontdesk was okay but not very welcoming. The corridor was a bit scaffy and the elevator was very small and old. The room was okay but it did not feel fresh at all. There was a lot of noise from the trains and the landing airplanes (which one could expect at an airport). The windows did not open properly and the heat could not be turned off according to the frontdesk. TV was okay with a lot of channels. The overall experience was okay for a night over but the room could use a touch up with new furniture and fresh fabrics.

Disliked. The night we stayed there was a convention going on where they had a large room next to ours and many rooms rented on the same floor as our room. This group had a large party all night long and security came up 3 times to try and keep them quiet. Smoke was coming into our nonsmoking room and the door was not locked to their room. We did not sleep at all had to catch the shuttle at 4:30 a.m. The soap in the bathroom was used and wrapped up in paper as if it was new. WE had to pay extra for Park and ride which has to be booked on a completely different web site other then Wyndham's????? Would not recommend this hotel at all.

I was charged extra for incidentals that I'd never ordered nor received and assumed it was a simple mistake that a phone call would take care of. Not only did the manager refuse to take or return my calls, but he relayed to his staff not to refund the charges. I hope that these type of charges do not continue to happen to other guests. If you do have to stay at this hotel, I highly suggest to avoid giving them your credit or debit card information for incidentals or form of payment.

This hotel is simple but stylish. Receptionist at the hotel was pleasant and provided just the right rooms for the two parties traveling together. The rooms are small but adequate, well layed out, with great beds ( number beds for softness, firmness etc.)and pillows.The bathrooms are clean with great showers, good lighting and the design makes use of the small quarters. The furnishings are well situated for comfort and relaxation. The price range is consistant with the area, and the location is readily accessible to airports and expressways.

While the rooms weren't the best (no control of the heat; room way tooo hot, and low water pressure in shower), the location to the Allstate Arena was great. The Wyndham is located right next to the parking lot of the Allstate Arena.

Its close to Ohare, and Hwy, but was quite not noisy. Within a walking distance they are IHOP, Target, and other stores. As it is near Ohare, there is $14 to park. Room is spacious, clean, confortable.
