Not worth the money.
Upon checking in I was less than impressed with the property manager. I am a non-smoke and had booked a non-smoking room; however, my traveling companion smokes and he advised he would have to give me a smoking room, because if he allowed a smoker (who would not be allowed to smoke in the room) sleep in a non-smoking room they'd have to launder the bed linens. After putting up a fight, he finally gave me a non-smoking room, but seemed annoyed they would have to do laundry after we left.
I don't really want to know how infrequently they launder the bed linens. The property is in need of updating and I found the room to be pricey for what was offered. There was wallpaper peeling, the shower was horrible and hardly let out a stream of water to call it a shower (my garden hose has more water pressure!) the bathroom is tiny, there is a dinky sink/vanity area that is poorly lit. The door didn't seal all the way and you could see a stream of light come thru when the door was shut, they still use those huge, bulky keys. I was awoke several times from the sound of what appeard to be drag-racing cars and a couple arguing in the parking lot. The cover on the heater was nearly falling off. The heater was noisy and it only gave you an option of high and low heat instead of being able to adjust the temperature. The TV and alarm clock were both low-end off brands. It's a budget hotel and the bare bones accomodations are over-priced. Next time I would pay a little more and stay at the Country Inn & Suites a couple miles up the road!
The breakfast was pathetic, the powdered donuts were fresh out of a box, there were a couple pieces of fruit. There was cereal, but no milk. The OJ was watered down and filled with ice. When my friend went to check out "breakfast" the attendant yelled to see if she needed anything he announced he had "just stepped out of the shower" and reached around the corner to give her the milk he had overlooked putting out. We won't stay here again!
