Motel 6, Aurora

They recently remodeled all of their rooms and they have hardwood floors which was very impressive to me and my husband. When we pulled onto the parking lot we were amazed at how the landscaping and the upkeep was looking. When we went inside the front desk lady was very helpful with our needs and even gave us ideals on what to do in Aurora while we were in town. The rooms were very nice and relaxing. We wished they had a pool BUT the AC was cold enough to keep us happy. They had HBO 1&2 which you do not find in many hotels these days as well as a restaurant right in the same parking lot as the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to everyone I know that might be heading in the Chicago/Aurora area. I first read the reviews on this hotel from Yahoo travel and was a littled worried because of the reviews BUT I noticed that they were written back in 2006 and to my understanding there is a whole new staff at the property and that made me feel so much better. Great job Motel 6 in Aurora........ Please continue to leave the light on for us!

I lost $40 worth of groceries because housekeeping threw out the bag. Management was unwilling to do anything other than file a police report. No refunds, nothing. The floor was sticky, the bathroom was filthy and the whole place smelled really bad.

Bedding was not something you would ever want to lay on! I would not have stayed there at all once I saw the room but I didn't have time to look for another place.
