Horror hotel
By JivanS, 01/05/10
I don't think I can say anything nice about this place. I got this place since I got stranded in Chicago O'Hare. Right from the start, the hotel shuttle looked like it's a gang van and the hotel is like the one you see in horror movies. The smell of strong chlorine with ran down ambiance. Seriously!!! Vendor ate my money and service doesn't even want to return my money and ask that I call the vendor owners. Wouldn't it make sense for them to reimburse me (as service) and get my money back from the vendor operator???? This place sucks!!!!

Bacon & Cashews?
By mila_cm, 04/09/08
April 2008 We were stuck in the American Airlines MD80 safety fiasco. American Airlines gave us vouchers for this hotel. The young lady running the front desk was swamped with customers and did an excellant job getting us all in rooms quickly. The Hotel staff did the best they could with little notice. We had a 20 passenger van the next morning to shuttle us back to the airport starting at 5am. This hotel is shabby and not very clean. There was a piece of bacon and a cashew nut on the rug when we checked in. The towels are old and kind of thin. But hey, it was a bed and bath after a long ordeal.

Oh My God!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/24/08
We got in real late at the end of a park-and-fly week coming out of O'Hare from Spring Break. I found out the shuttle doesn't run past 10:30, and asked them to call a cab 3 times. I finally tackled a cab and paid $50 to get a ride to the hotel (which it is now 4 a.m.). They had my car there for 1 week and I had pre-paid for a non-smoking room, but they gave me a smoking room that smelled like mold. My wife and I were afraid to touch the sheets so we slept in our clothes on top of the bed. I swear I could hear things crawling on the floor. I asked to be put in a quiet corner so I could get some sleep before they kicked us out at 12, but at 7:45 we had 15 screaming kids outside our door as I found out they were nice enough to put me directly next to the pool. I couldn't take it anymore so I got up to drive home in the same clothes as the shower was equally as disgusting. I brushed my teeth in the parking lot. The attendant I found out was the shuttle driver that I wanted 5 hours earlier, and after 20 minutes the "clerk" showed up to check me and 3 other disgruntled customers out. I let them go 1st so I could get some consideration from the clerk, but she couldn't do anything as the Manager wasn't there, but would be in later that afternoon so I left my cell #. She didn't call so I called at 4 and was told she didn't come in but would be back the next morning. No call then so at 3 the next day I called to find out she was on vacation all week, but now the owner had been contacted and there was nothing they could do. I don't like to bash (this is my 1st review actually) but word of mouth is the best advertising, and I would RUN!!

Nice Place!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/17/08
Lots of changes taking place here. I saw the pictures on this site and was surprised to see that they remodeled! It looks great. The have done the rooms and lobby area so far. Front desk was very helpful, especially Jeannie and Bob. The drivers were nice and efficient shuttle to the airport made it easy to catch the subway. AAAAAA++++++++++++++++++++++

A new favorite!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/23/07
I have stayed at this location before and found it to be ok... BUT durring a recent visit to the area I ended up back at this location and came to find out they had remodeled. You walk in the lobby and you feel like you are walking into a Hilton. Granite floors and counters and the most comfortable leather sofas!! The rooms were great too. I stayed on the new "Executive Floor" I walked in to find a california king bed and one of those awesome leather sofas! I can't get over that bed though, it was so luxurious. The staff was great, I was told the hotel is under new management (you can really tell)... A+ in my book. I am sure I will be back!!

All Hotels Can Learn from Chicago West
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/01/07
Wow, what a wonderful experience! Starting from when we first checked in to our checking out, the experience was outstanding. The pool, the room, the staff everything perfect. My First time in Chicago, the young ladies at the front desk all had suggestions of where to go, how to get there, where to eat. This hotel left you wanting to come back and we will.

CAN'T WAIT TO COME BACK
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/23/07
We had to make an unexpected stop in chicago, and ending up extending our stay. We had an easy check-in even though the lobby is under construction, granite floor and counter tops being put in. They were also laying new carpet in the hall. We enjoyed the atrium very much where we enjoyed pizza from the restaurant on site, yummy and fresh. Rooms were clean, new furniture and carpet as well. We were surprised when we came across the sauna and bo-flex machine, a real bonus. Morning breakfast even had cute mini pecan pies and cinnamon raisin bagels, and coffee cake, not just the regular donuts and coffee. I would like to come back when everything is finished with my family.

Yelling Shuttle bus driver
By Donald, 07/01/06
We got yelled at by the shuttle bus driver because we weren't getting on the right shuttle bus. Musty hotel. Internet connection good. Took a cab the rest of the week to not deal with shuttle bus drivers. Watched a woman on Chemo Therapy get shut out of a promised non smoking room that she paid for already. Management just didn't seem to care. Bad Bad Experience.

Good Value
By kidzrev, 12/07/05
I was stranded in Chicago due to airline incompetence. When I came into the hotel, I had had it. The clerk was very courteous and understanding. He checked me in quickly and even gave me a toothbrush. The hotel looked very nice. If I had had my luggage with me, I might have checked out the pool and whirlpool, which looked very nice.

A good experience indeed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/03/05
Very good service. The people at the front desk were very helpful and willing to assist you. The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel restaurant provides excellent food at affordable prices. My only reccomendation would be to extend the service hours at the restaurant.
