Outrigger Royal Sea Cliff, Kailua Kona

Me and my family loved it here. It is a real beautiful place and its pretty big. In the hotel there isnt much to do but if you take your car or better walk for 5-15 min down the road there is a lot to do! Service is very friendly and helpful. The view onto the Ocean is gorgeous and i cant wait to come again!!!!

This place was absolutely gorgeous. The room was HUGE. The bed's were HUGE. There was a beautiful view. Fully stocked Kitchen, Spacious kitchen too I might add. Quick Service in the morning, I'd live there If I could! I honestly didn't want to leave, it was a VERY nice experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Royal Sea Cliff. Although there may have been renovations at the time, it did not affect our vacation or the sense of relaxation that we felt there. Sometimes when vacationing, there is the tendency to be on the fast paced neurotic track(and still bringing it with you in super expectations) instead of shedding it all and learning to enjoy the moment, the quality time and beauty that is to be shared which is why one goes on vacation in the first place....finding one's moment in the sun,so to speak. There is no amount of money that can bring all our expectations to light. One has to seize the moment and enjoy it for all it is worth and then some. That is exactly what we did, and we are all the better off because of it!!

The staff was friendly-felt sorry for them since they are constantly hearing complaints about the facility. Undergoing renovations, so hate to be too harsh, but our carpet was filthy and one chair had mold or somthing on the top and back. We were at the very back of the complex near the road. It seemed like a quarter mile to the pools, which are near the ocean. Our "ocean view" was only if standing up on the lanai-we overlooked a parking lot and another building. The complex is near Kailua/Kona, not too far from the airport.

The resort was undergoing renovations which was extremely inconvenient. Only one elevator was working, the staff was not at all helpful. We were there for a 5 night stay, the A/C in our room never worked. After repeated complaints we were finally offered a room change on the 4th night of our stay. Our 1 bed/ 1 bath condo was near the pool (the kids loved that)! The Big Island is beautiful, and we enjoyed snorkeling, the beaches and the volcano tour. Our stay at this "resort" nearly ruined the entire vacation for me.

My first impressions of the condo's at Outrigger Royal Sea Cliff was a big disappointment. The room had a horrible smell, the carpets needed to be cleaned, the refrigerator door was dirty, and the view to the lanai was of the parking lot (so-called garden view). In addition, the Sea Cliff was undergoing renovations and the walkway outside of the condo was in terrible shape (very sticky) that has potential to ruin shoes. However, after complaining, we were moved to another condo. The second condo was much better!! It was clean, the kitchen was in great shape, and the condo itself was huge. The only complaints I had about this condo was that the sofa could be cleaned. It had a nasty smell. Also, the lanai needs repairs (the floor tiles are in bad shape and someone could trip). The so-called garden view was a joke. The view is actually of the parking lot with plants outside. But� the grounds of the Royal Sea Cliff are pretty, with lots of tropical plants and trees and waterfalls. The service was excellent. Each day our condo was cleaned. There was nothing special about the pool areas other than the fact that they offered a great view of the ocean. At the saltwater pool area, there was a BBQ area that was great to use and very clean. The location of the Outrigger Sea Cliff is good. It is around a 2-mile walk/drive to Kailua-Kona town. Overall, the experience was good and I would recommend it for families. Our family would definitely consider staying there again (but with an ocean view instead)!!

Service was great, spacious room, nice and clean, lovely view, big lanai. Nice fully stocked kitchen (pots and pans, dishes etc.) Close to shopping, easy to access roads to other parts of the island.

Outrigger Royal Sea Cliff was great! Spacious, staff was accomodating, fun activities, and great location. The condo was a little old but well kept. A wonderful, moderate place to stay close to snorkeling, restaurants, and two and a half hours from the volcano. We would definitely return to this condo.
