upsetting
By ,
The beds were small, european size, they had no King size beds in rooms, the hotel was noisy, the hallways were dirty, The rest room in the oceanariam smelled so bad my wife had to leave. The wait staff was not helpful and not pleasant to deal with. By far my most unpleasant stay in a hotel in years!!!

Much better then expected
By ,
Rooms clean, staff we dealt with was very friendly and helpful with the exception of the spa. We had a very good view from our room. We decided to stay a few extra days and the hotel was very accomadating. Overall a very nice experience. Would stay there again.

You could do a lot worse

This place is fine and the location is great. Right on the beach at Waikiki towards Diamond Head.

Loved this hotel!!!!
By ,
The Pacific Beach Hotel is located on Kalakaua and Liliuokalani Ave. in Honolulu, Hi. We have been at this hotel three different times out of five times that we have been on the island of Oahu. There is a 3-story 250,000 "aquarium" that you can view from each of the three restaurants here. The Oceanarium Restaurant is the one we dine at for their buffet breakfast. You have a full buffet to choose from: hot foods, cold foods, cereals, juice, desserts, breads, pastas, fruits, etc. We usually stay in the Oceanarium Tower and usually on the 12th floor. In a partial ocean-view room. The laundry facilities are located on the fourth floor as is the swimming pool and the hot tub. There is also a game room on that floor also. All of these are outside, so while you do your laundry, you can go swimming, play games, or get a tan!!

We're going again!
By ,
We stayed at the hotel two years ago. Our room had a problem with hot water, and not being able to fix it, they moved us to a much better room in the front! The view was wonderful, the hotel extremely accomodating, even when we had to stay an extra day. The hotel staff makes the hotel an enjoyable experience. The location is great too, so close to everything. So we're staying there again this trip.

excellent hotel
By ,
THe staff were very curteous. It was close to all amenities, including the beach. Close to routes for running. they accepted Military ID from Canada which gave much better costs for the rooms. They upgraded without being requested. Want to stay there again

loved the Pacific Beach Hotel
By ,
Perfect location, but on the end of the strip so a little less foot traffic. Everything you could want- huge room, big balcony, view of both the ocean and the mountains. Waikiki is commercial and built up, but if that's okay with you, you'll be very happy with the Pacific Beach Hotel. Every bit as nice as other hotels that cost much more.

Eatting with the fishes.
By ,
The Pacific Beach Hotel is one the best hotel that my family and I stayed in. It's a great location. It's right across the street from the beach. The rooms are clean and great view from your balcony. They have a huge aquarium in the dinning area. While having a meal you could watch a diver feeding the fishes, sting rays and sharks. It's so cool. The buffet is not that bad too. It's a little expensive. But it's worth it for the view. I would love to go back to stay in the Pacific Beach Hotel again.

Nice, Clean Hotel
By ,
The hotel was clean and the location was great. The pool was very small and difficult to locate, but being right across from Waikiki Beach it didn't matter much.

Good hotel for first time visitor
By ,
We spent one week here in early April 2005. Clean hotel and rooms within walking distance to beach and strip. 5 min to Duke monument and 15 to Marketplace. We had a partial ocean view with Diamond Head. Full ocean view is $55/nite more. Breakfast $15 per person. No internet in rooms. 25 cents per minute in business center. Parking $12.50 per day. Elevators slow when busy. Left balcony window open at night for breeze and ocean surf sounds but city traffic and siren noise all night. Beds too firm, had to buy a matress pad. Friendly receptionists and tour help desk. Had to wait turns on using washing machines. Pool is too small and cold.
