Horrible..Horrible....Horrible
By M J, 7/10/11
Our room was booked months in advance....when we arrived our car could not even be parked on the property because there wasn't room in their garage, when we went to check in late in the afternoon our room wasn't ready and we were HAD to get ready for a wedding....Father of the Groom.....when we finally were able to check in we had only about 30 minutes to freshen up change and be at the church. THE ROOM: A JOKE....first and formost the air conditioning even on a COLD 65 ..the room was at a HOT 95....THE BED: there wasn't even a mattress pad between us and the mattress, the sheets were not even tucked in, and the mattress was torture......neither of us slept at all......THE BATHROOM: don't flush the commode if someone is trying to sleep in the other room...it was louder than any commercial toilet any where in the world...we could even hear all our neighboring rooms when they flushed...I am 5ft 5 inches...my husband is 6ft 3 inches.....the shower head could not be adjusted and the water actually went over his head....I could not even use the shower...NOW THE FINAL STRAW: when we got home I noticed a charge of 6 dollars on my credit card...I called the hotel and was informed I was charged for drinking a bottle of Aquafina water...a freaking bottle of water...NO it wasn't even cold......there wasn't any signs or information to be found that I would be charged for a freaking small bottle of water.............if your going to Atlanta and would like a really nice, quiet, helpful, restful place to stay...DO NOT CHOOSE THE HYATT REGENCY..... M. Jones......Tennessee

Greedy Manager Sells Rooms With Reservations
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/12/11
From the look of the hotel and the great valet service I think I would have given this Hyatt 4 - 5 stars. But, that all went out the window the moment I was told that the room I booked over a month ago was sold to someone else. So you all know I am a beyond loyal Hyatt guest. My wife and I had our wedding at a Hyatt, I had my wedding shower at a Hyatt, and more business events than I can count. In addition when I travel on business (which is all the time) I will go out of my way and pay more to stay with Hyatt. Out of the hundreds of Hyatt's or any other hotel in my life, this was the most unforgivable thing ever done. Hyatt you better come up with something big for me to forgive you for this. 12am and you kick me out of your location and put me into some 2nd rate, off the beaten path hotel. Thanks Hyatt! I really hope that manager gets transferred to some horrible Hyatt in Alaska or something so I never have to deal with his greed screwing up my stay again!!!

One of the nicer conference hotels I've stayed in.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/22/10
Very nicely decorated room, elegant and comfortable. Loved the chaise lounge with work table. Comfortable bed and very quiet for sleeping. Great view. Only drawback is that housekeeping would come quite late, around 4:00 pm so room would be unmade for most of the day. Overall more comfortable than most hotels in this price category that I've stayed in.

Enjoyed our stay!!!
The employees at the Hyatt Regency were nice, but the hotel needs updating. I was told they are going to remodel soon. The hotel is in a great location for walking to eat or going for entertainment. The drinks and food were very expensive at the hotel, but that is to be expected. We were expecting a very nice flat screen t.v. on the wall. The t.v. that was in the room was old. The pool was nice. We had a room with a balcony so we enjoyed that. I guess the best thing about the hotel was the hospitality of the Director of Catering. We went out for a while and came back to our room. When we walked in the door there was a bottle of champagne on ice, with two champagne glasses and chocolate strawberries. The Director of Catering had took the time to make our stay wonderful. Thank you Director of Catering!! The Nelsons!

Holiday Inn would have been better
By Flyboy, 6/16/10
I stayed at this hotel for seven days. I was put in the Radius tower. It was nice that the elevator was a key card access. That is until I found out how to use them without the key card. The room was ok at best I have pictures of the room. There was a piece of wood missing from the desk (now I was told that I was in an upgraded room) Mold in the shower. I let the house keeper know about the mold but nothing was done. The room curtains were broken I had to pull on the curtain to open and close them. The windows would shake in a strong breeze and at night (every night) at about 02:30 there would be a trash truck picking up trash. It sounded like it was just outside of my room. There was even a loud beeping sound every time the door would open or close. You could hear the people next door too. The room is small for the amount paid. To top it off you had to pay for internet either $9.00 or $12.00 per 24 hours. I had to eat at the hotel because of the conference I was at. We had Chicken at most meals and it was just bad. They even stated it at the town hall meeting at the end of the conference. The drinks in the bar cost way too much $6.00 for a Beer. Even in the coffee shop the soda was three dollars. If you went to the attached mall you could get one for $1.76. The hotel is in a great location you can walk anywhere you want. Just remember that there are panhandlers everywhere. Just watch what you do and who you talk to. If you go out at night DO NOT GO ALONE. There are food places in the Mall and even a pub. You can walk thru the mall to the diner it was a great place to eat. Be aware that the mall is closed on Sundays. You can take the MARTA from the airport to the hotel and to anywhere else you would like to go. You can walk to CNN, World of Coke and the Aquarium all within a 15 min walk or less from the hotel. I hope that this helps.

Waste of money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/9/10
This hotel is very out dated and not clean! No flatscreen, very few chanels, bed headboard looked like it had been covered with wallpaper, mattress was horrible and pillows look fluffy but as soon as you touch them they go flat, temperature in room was warm the entire time, there was hairs in bathroom, in tub and on floor, hair in the bed, the bathroom sink and tub was so bad, I am only 5'3" and the bathroom sink came under my waist, the tub was the smallest tub I have ever seen and the toilet paper holder was almost on the floor! It was a horrible experience! Do not stay at this hotel! The Marriott Marquis is sooooo much better!

Not great
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/13/10
Lousy bathroom, no fan and very dated. Old style television with fair picture. Bedding and pillows very uncomfortable. Not worth the cost, would not stay here again. Rate this hotels rooms a 2 out of 5.

How I feel about the Hotel.
By Billy, 12/22/09
i liked every thing about the hotel because of the hospitality yall showed. i like the fact that the hotel reach out to almost any activity someone wants to have at the hotel. Also the mens that helped me with my bags was very nice n the roomservice was humble n was also very diligent. But what i didnt like about the hotel was that it is so easy to fall or drop things off the top floor. i think they should make that more secure so it won't freak alot of peolple out when they try to look down. I know for me and the family i came with was freaked out how they made that and was not letting the young kids get near the edge

Not Atlanta's Best
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/13/09
I have been to Atlanta several times this summer and stayed at the Hyatt this time due to a conference. I was there for 6 days and obviously had the opportunity to have a full experiance. After the first night my back was killing me! The bed was horriable and the linens were those that I would expect to see in a cheap hotel. I stayed iin the International Tower and there has been an obvious upgrade of decor but this really doesn't matter when the room isn't clean. I don't really get bent over the small things but when there is hair in your bed
