Horrible experience

This was a experience from hell! First off I called this location to get closier to my father in law which was ill and thinking we will get on the road when my husband arrives home from work. I called and the person from that location gave me rates in which I said ok we will take it, and then once my husband gottenhome he relised he would be to tired to get on the road so late at night, in which I called back as ask could I cancel for that night and come Saturady morning. The lady on the other end told me she will still charge my credit card because it's policy that when you reserve the room you are charged reguardless. Now I ask her why didn't she explain these rules prior to me booking the room in which she would not say anything and said it's just policy. I was very upset with the fact that I felt they were doing things unethical for a business with such a high name. I was upset in which I told my husband we had no choice but toi get on the road in which he caled back and ask for the manager and she stated he is unavailable and he again ask why she did not tell me upo front about what would happen if we canceled and she stated she don't know but she can't do any thing about that now. My husband was angry and just hung up the phone. Well we drove down due to the fact we would have to pay reguardless and once we got their at 4:30 a.m. in the morning the key she gave us was not working in which I was holding my son who was sleep in my arms waiting to lie down in the bed. We had to get back in the car and go back to the office to get a key that we would hope will work, in which took another 35 to 45 minutes of our time. Once we were in the room the room had a stuffy odor and just looked as thou it have just been closed for some time. We let saturday morning and came back that evening to the suprise of not being able to get into the room once again and my sons milk was locked in the room and he was ready to eat. My husband ask me to go to the office and tell them in which after 30 minutes of waiting a maintenace man came and he could not get into the room either and stated the owner stays their and he has the master key and he would get him. I stated I was told that the owner was not on the premises and he just looked at me and I stated I watend to talk to him about this whole mess. He then left and came back 30 more minutes later with a key to another room for us to go to until they could get our stuff out of the room and in the mean time we never seen the owner. In the meantime we are not just moving next door, but down stairs and around the back side of this motel. Well the maintance guy stated he had the room door open so we could get our stuff out, but the owner was not available to speak with us, but the owner was the only one who had the master key, so that tells you alot about what he thinks about his guess. We gotten up sunday hoping when we are getting ready to check out he would be their in which again he was no where to be found. Through all the crap we had been through the on took off $16.00, and that was a big slap in the face from what me and my family experience. I just received a letter two weeks from the date of stay from the owner only because I complained to the days inn in general about this awful experince, in which he still did not apologize he just stated he gave us $16.00 off our bill for our troubles and he hope will return in the future in which it will be a cold day in HELL before I would visist this motel. This experiece put a bad taste in my mouth. The place was not clean either.
