Hampton Inn Daytona Shores-Oceanfront, Fl, Daytona Beach Shores

My wife travels 5 days a week and stays at Hilton hotels usually 6 weeks at same hotel across the country and this is by far her most unpleasant Hilton experience yet. She has just sent me a picture of her tub filling and even though the hotel claims they checked it the water is yellow. Usually if there are any problems you can count on Hilton Hotels to make it right however this hotel is beach front so they seem to be of the belief that if you don't like it we have a waiting list of people who will. These Hilton hotels become her home for months at the same hotel so the staff is who is entrusted with her well being and I feel this is not Hilton behavior. This may be a case of just bad luck however the only answer the hotel is giving is the water was fine when we looked. Having to stay in Daytona for the next couple months the thought of yellow water baths and showers isn't very appealing.

This hotel is definitely not one of the best Hampton's I've ever stayed at. If you have kid's, it's not really a good place to stay. There is no room for them to play. You can barely walk around the pool without falling in. The chairs are right on top of each other, there is no room at all. The wireless internet connection runs at 1.0Mbps. I was there for a week and barely could use my laptop. They had to constantly reset their wireless. One minute you could get on, the next it just didn't happen. It is worse than any dial-up I ever seen. The hotel is clean if that is important to you. The staff is very friendly also. I would not stay here again for the price I paid. There are much nicer hotels in the area for a cheaper or the same price.

Our oceanfront room was musty. The staff did not complete servicing our room and did not make up the bed on the 2nd day of our stay. They also left a rather large dead bug on the floor, so I'm not sure they even vaccumed the room. This Hampton Inn is below standard for a Hampton Inn. There is no half & half for coffee or tea, only artificial sweetner. The hotel manager is rude and unreasonable.

While my husband attended a conference in Daytona, the kids and I found plenty to keep us happy at the Hampton Inn. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast served until 10:00 a.m. (which helps the late sleepers) and I personally liked having coffee 24/7. And our whole family enjoyed the cookies for a treat in the p.m.. From a Mom's point of view, being able to sit in a lounge chair were I could watch my kids in the pool or on the beach all at the same time was the best. Having pool toys (boogie boards, float rings, lounge floats & a raft) for the pool or beach and not having to worry about bringing them from home or buying one was great. We also had lounge chairs that we could take on the beach, as well. All of the staff were helpful with all our needs especially with suggestions for the best local food spots. Something fun to look forward to on Saturday, is when the owner and staff have a cook out from 1:00 to around 6:00 p.m. with all the hot dogs, hamburgers, chips & drinks you can handle(complimentary of course) all while enjoying a D.J. and karaoke. Our rooms were clean and comfortable and it was very nice having a microwave & refrigerator as well, it saved us money by having our own drinks and being able to save leftovers for lunch the next day. So, if we are ever in Daytona again this is where we will stay. Thanks guys!

We happened upon this Hampton when the hotel we had origionally made reservations at turned out to be a disaster. Daytona is our vacation spot and has been for many years, however, we always thought the Hampton would be too expensive but as it turned out, it was the same price as one we had stayed at before and much nicer. After arriving at the hotel where we had reservations, we discovered that it had changed owners and was terribly rundown from the previous summer. We refused to stay there and so we took out on foot to locate another place to stay. We stumbled upon the Hampton Inn and thought why not give it a try. We are soooo glad we did. They gave us the only room they had that evening but the next morning they moved us to the room we would stay in the rest of our vacation. That was five years ago and we have stayed there every year since. We love it. Thanks to a friendly and welcoming staff.

Well, my friends and I stayed here this past week for spring break (3/12/07-3/14/07). However, we were not supposed to leave until the 17th, but due to so some rather unfortunate mishaps, our vacation ended early. We had four in our group all over 25 years of age and very mature. From the time we checked in and the during the duration of our stay we were continuously treated unfairly by the Asst. Mgr. Donna who did not want us there from the beginning because we had a cheap rate. She falsley accused us of smoking in the room which NONE of us smoked in the room and embarrased us in front of other guests. While we were laying out on the beach they made us come in while still in our bathing suits and told us we had fifteen minutes to leave the hotel because we broke the non-smoking policy! WE DIDNT EVEN SMOKE IN THE ROOM! They would not give us time to put our clothes on and already had a luggage cart waiting in our room to move us out! We were treated like dogs! After we threw everything together as quickly as possible I went to speak with Donna about why this is happening and because we were burning incense in the room, they said we were smoking! Plus they kept our money only giving us fifteen dollars back and charged us an additional fifty dollars leaving us with no place stay and no money to find another hotel! Everything was sold out and we barley had enough money to get home! I'll never stay at this Hampton Inn for as long as I live and I'll make sure that anyone else I come across does not make the same mistake either. This place gives Hampton Inn a bad name. DO NOT STAY HERE!

My husband and I started coming here in Oct. 1975. At that time it was called the Travelers Lodge and we were recently married. We feel in love with this hotel and when are children were born, we all spent their vacations here. It has changed names from Travelers Lodge to Comfort Inn and in 1999 to Landmark and now it is the Hampton Inn. Our family calls this wonderful hotel our 2nd home. Home away from home. That is how great everyone makes you feel. Change the name as much as you like, just don't ever tear down the hotel. Too many great memories. Esp. don't sell out so they can put up those stupid high rise buildings. The ocean view is awsome and well as our stay.

We thought this was our best hotel stay during our vacation in Florida. An exceptionally clean and well run hotel. The breakfast was great and the staff very friendly. We would certainly recommend this Hampton Inn to all. We loved it. Two Canadian Tourists

My family spent a week at this hotel and we were treated very well. The view of the ocean was the reason I picked this hotel. The breakfast every morning was excellent. The staff was always willing to give you what you needed. I have a 7 year old son and the staff made an effort to talk to him and ask how HE liked his stay. I will choose this hotel again. And by the way, the cookies at the desk in the evening are GREAT!

We stayed there from 9/17/05-9/21/05 it was so nice. We cant't wait to visit again. Nice view, and pool, very clean, good for the kids, very friendly . good breakfast
