you get waht you pay for
By Rebecca, 3/19/10
now i know why our package was so cheap! it did the job as far as a place to sleep and shower for my girlfriend and i to get away form the husbands and kids. but i for sure would not bring my child to stay in this hotel. if you read a review saying recently remodled make sure you also see that was posted about 13 years ago. not very clean and had an oder to the room. i brought extra sheets just in case and it was a good idea. wish i would have brought extra bath towels too as the ones provided were more then likely 13 years old too, full of holes. if you are looking for a cheap place to stay near universal studios this will work good for you. if you are brining a family with kids i would say if you can afford it spend a little more and stay someplace else. but i do have to say the location was great. hope were ever you decide to stay you have a great time in orlando!

Will never stop at this hotel again.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/5/10
The only god thing about this hotel was that it was near the attractions. When we arrive at this hotel we were put off by the musty smell in the lobby. We were given a room overlooking the carpark and freeway which was very noisy. Upon entering the room my heart sank part of the carpet was threadbare and the chairs were soiled although the beds were clean. But could not bring myself to sleep in them. The bathroom was not very clean with cigarette burns on the bath, the mirrors and floor needed a good clean too. The next day I had to buy cleaning products to try and make it a bit more livable. I hated going back to the hotel at the end of such a enjoyable day. We went down to breakfast the next morning but could not find a table. The breakfast consisted of toast, cereal and coffee. This is not a hotel it is a motel. On the plus side the staff were friendly.

BEWARE OF THIS PLACE
By reyes117, 10/28/09
My boyfriend and i have gone there twice and its not a nice place or the cleanest but it is cheap and has a good location when going to universal (we only need a place to sleep). Now last year we went and had not much problems with them. Until now they charged my boyfriend for the room a complete year later. They refuse to pay him back saying they never charged him last year( even though we payed cash for it).and now he has three bank fees due to their error. they didn't even know how it happen until my boyfriend was on the phone with a representative and he heard us having a side conversation about us staying a year ago and then comes back on the phone and says that they are charging us from last year. they are thiefs and inconsiderate people who will not take responsibility for their errors. oh and we can't even talk to a manager to resolve it. He had to e-mail him and the manager takes he sweet time to reply and has nothing to say towards resolving the issue. Now if you want to go to a place where you take the risk of them charging you for a room a year later and not taking the responsibility for their errors then go there. otherwise pay a little more and stay at the Quinta inn or somewhere where they are responsible.

Great place to stay!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/3/09
This hotel was great! Close to all the things you go to Orlando for. Room clean, comfortable, great price, no bugs!! Air Conditioner worked great! House keepers very respectful of my wishes and helpful. Pool nice..when we had time to use it. Well lit parking lot. I only had a problem with one staff person, when I asked where the luggage carrier was, he said "I don’t know" and walked away. That was the only low spot of the hotel, and not really worth mentioning. I went to ask someone else and they took the time to hunt it down for me. That was service!! They have guest services available to help you with ticket purchases. I wasn’t really interested in listening to some 3 hour deal on timeshares, but the deals sounded good, if you felt like you had the time, you would get discounted tickets. I felt safe in this hotel with my son. We were on second floor, and it was quiet. Great places to eat and shop right close. Cracker Barrel was our "go-to", have a nice big breakfast before going to the parks. I would stay here again anytime.

Bad service, bad breakfast
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/29/09
On the website of the hotel are roomamenities listed. In our room was no refrigerator, a car-rental was located on the first floor, so you had to listen to the noise of the carcleaning every morning. At the reception we ask if we could have a refrigerator in our room or an other room with an refrigerator . They told us that we need to pay 5 Dollar a day for a refrigerator. Impudent! A good hotel manager would have solved our proplem in an accepibal way. Its better to go to other Hotels were SERVICE comes first.

musty but friendly
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/18/09
the first thing i noticed was the musty smell in the foyet.the welcome gift was a nice touch. the first room we had was mouldy and smelly, then in the evening of day 2 the safe broke. room2 the safe was broke i asked to put money into hotel safe was told no.room 3 same, night felt like a gypsy but it was a lot better and there we stayed for 3 wks of fun. the hotel staff were mostly lovely all but 1 maid who me and my kids caught trying to pilfer my mobile phone which i'd left on the bed while having breakfast. breakfast was ok my 10 yr old loved making waffles. it especially good if ur on a budget or short of funds at the end of the hol. the grounds man was really helpful when my 9 yr son stood in an ant nest while catching a lizard an got bit 16 times. although his english was patchy he made me realise that the bites could be serious and i needed to get medical attention for him. luckily a cream worked and it never detered him from his quest for catching skinks and other bugs. the pool is small but it was never over crowded. the on site shop was really good picked up some bargains that cost a lot more in the parks and they stayed open til ten sometimes later and the people who run it were really nice. i would stay there again but with the knowledge of keeping valuables locked in a working safe. the free shuttle service was basic but it saved us money and the drivers were helpful.

Good Value for the Cost
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/25/08
We vistited in mid February. The location was excellent - just off International Drive. The rooms were clean and comfortable, we were pool side which was nice. One downfall was on one weekend night, a group of young girls - I would guess aged 13 - 15 ran back and forth outside for most of the night - squealing and giggling - eventually I got up, rapped on the window and shook my finger at them - seemed to do the trick! The continental breakfast was ok once or twice - no fruit, or muffins. Staff were very courteous and helpful - more so than most hotels I have stayed at in the area. All in all we felt the hotel was very good value for the price and would certainly recommend it and stay again.

Once was enough
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/28/08
This hotel was booked as part of a package and advertised as a 3 star hotel. On arrival we were very disappointed in the overall appearance which was old and rundown. We checked out 3 rooms before deciding upon a fourth floor room. The level of cleanliness was poor and the smell of febreze or other air freshener was overpowering. My husband persuaded me to stay but I insisted upon purchasing new bedding. The breakfast was a zoo mostly because of lack of space and the number of people (the hotel was full to capacity every night) the best time for breakfast was 6am. We will not be returning!
