We're still in shock!!!!
By Edward, 7/22/10
We disliked everything about this hotel. From the moment I saw the carpet in the hallway before I opened the door, I knew in my heart of hearts that there'd be problems to say the least. Evything in the room was so outdated. The carpet appeared to have been in place since the early 70's and the headboard had been there since the inception of Little House on the Prairie. I refused to allow my feet to touch the floor. The shower was filty and the toilet was so scary. I just could not use it. My husband paid $95 for the room and I felt we were cheated out of our money and our experience. I only want to say to everyone: Save your money and your experience and do not stay at this hotel because it is true. This hotel is the worse one I've stayed in my 20 years of travel.

WARNING DO NOT STAY HERE
By Conrad, 7/18/10
I only wish we had seen these other review BEFORE we stayed here. We booked via expedia so of course the warning signs upon walking in were scary to say the least but expedia does not give refunds. If this is a 2 star hotel one can only imagine what a 1 star hotel is. Make sure you bring slip on shoes so you don't get your feet dirty after your bath/shower walking on the carpet barefoot. We had to hold the toilet flush handle down until it flushed completely. Yesterday, we had come back after 3pm to find the room not cleaned. I called and they said it was marked clean and was I sure??? She said she would take care of it. We left and when we came back the bed was made-not changed. The blanket has several holes from possibly cigarette burns or match or possibly bugs? Today again, the room was not cleaned. We had the do not disturb on the door. We saw the cleaning lady out the door and told her that we would be leaving at 1:30pm. She said well, I don't have to clean the room. We told her yes, indeed we needed the room cleaned and the sheets changed etc. After returning at 7pm the room was not cleaned. The front desk said they had gone for the day. He was very nice and apologized, however, we had to change our own sheets. This was not worth the almost $!00 a night. The bathroom has rusted pipes/the caulking was moldy and when you had the bath water turned on it leaked water from the faucet. Never Never again. No 2 star EVER!

NASTY ROOMS!!!
By kenny, 6/17/10
checked in and within walking into the room knew it wasn't happening. Rooms were covered in dust. Pulled back the covers to look in the beds and found pubic hair and dirt under the blankets and on the sheets. Obviously it was never cleaned. Management refused to refund our money at first but after 2 days of battle, they relented. Don't waste your time stopping here.

We will never go back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/21/09
Hotel seemed a bit rundown from our last visit about 2 years ago. Odor in room, dirty carpet, certain sections of bedroom walls and ceiling had been replastered but not smoothed out, looked horrible. Pillows were not comfortable - worn out, did better without. Bedspread and blanket were old (from the 1970's). Sheets were never changed throughout our stay. Hotel ran out of bath towels one day. On top of all of this, my husband and I contracted "scabies". Had to go to hospital emergency room where we were diagnosed. Were told we more than likely got it from hotel room we stayed in. Had to pay cost of emergency room visit plus cost of medication we were prescribed which cost more than our hotel fees! Do not recommed this hotel to anyone!!

Cheap, but lots of problems
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/7/09
We picked this place because we got a great rate and most of the online reviews were fairly good. I'm afraid our experience didn't live up to that of most of the others who reviewed this place. To start with the positive, the staff was friendly and helpful on the whole, and the room was newly decorated and clean, really decent for the rate we got. However, the rest of it was really disappointing. When we arrived, we showed the young lady at the desk our Orbitz.com confirmation, and she promptly told us that we shouldn't have booked through Orbitz. She said we would have gotten a better rate by calling them directly, although the rate on their own website was considerably higher than the one on Orbitz. I know she was trying to be helpful, but I wondered why they were listed with Orbitz, if this is the way they feel about Orbitz reservations. She did give us a confirmation so we could arrange with Orbitz to refund the difference between the rate we got, and the rate we would have gotten had we called them directly. It turns out she was correct, though, that we shouldn't have booked on Orbitz, because it created ongoing confusion for them throughout our stay: they knew someone was in our room, but couldn't figure out that it was us, because we weren't "in their system." After check-in, we were extremely disappointed to find two things: first, the Baybreeze Restaurant, which had very good online reviews, had recently changed to "A Taste of India," which is fine, unless you don't enjoy Indian cuisine. (They did have a decent complimentary breakfast bar, though.) Also, more importantly, the pool was closed. The pool in a Florida hotel-- in late June-- was closed! Not only was it closed, but the water was green, which is reflected in the cleanliness rating of this review. (I can't complain about the cleanliness of the room.) Another thing that I wasn't going to nit-pick over but that I will go ahead and mention, is that the name "Bayview" is misleading: the facility does overlook the bay, but the rooms don't, and the "bay view" is a very obstructed one, even from the lobby area that does overlook the bay. This was also disappointing, since this place is located quite a distance from the beach, and part of the reason we had chosen it is that we thought we would have a little bit of a water view, if only from the lobby or restaurant. The day after check-in, we had been at the beach, and came back to our room for a shower before dinner. There was no hot water! When we called the front desk to check on this, we were told the boiler had gone out, and they hoped to have it operating by the following day. So we were forced to take ice-cold showers after a day in the sun and the sand. By the following afternoon, they did have the hot water restored. A couple of other things that really didn't affect us personally, but that I feel compelled to share were: 1) While we were there, a potential customer called to inquire about bringing a pet. The person answering the phone told the customer that they don't allow pets, even though their website said that pets are allowed, because they "just hadn't taken time to update their website yet." As a pet owner myself who prefers to travel with my pets most of the time, I think it's very important for facilities to make their pet policies clear, online and elsewhere. 2) The bar was not always staffed, even during its posted hours. The staff would offer to go into the bar and serve you if you wanted a drink, but they weren't necessarily on site waiting to serve. The whole time we were there, it was obvious the place was in a management transition. I hope that once that transition is completed, things will improve, but I can't say that I would take the chance of staying there again, at least not any time soon. If I had to it to do over again, we would have spent a little more money and stayed somewhere else.

DON'T STAY HERE
By Cleora, 7/20/09
Arrived late at night and in the morning there wasn't any hot water for a shower, security door to outside was left open all night, noisy air conditioning unit in our room, dirty carpets in room and hall, smell of cigarettes in the hallway. Breakfast items that are supposed to be hot were cold. Desk clerk had an attitude when asked for a refund for no hot water. Said he didn't have the authority to refund and manager wouldn't be for about 2 hours. He was not surprised to hear no hot water and mumbled answers. Matter was taken up with a manager over the phone later that day and promised a 50% refund to Credit Card. Manager said they had problems with the boiler the day before and they thought it was fixed. I feel rooms should not have been rented until they knew the problem was fixed. Never received the credit so reported the problems to Wyndham, parent company or Ramada, and was told they had contacted the local manager and I would be contacted in 7 days. Time is up and no contact from the Florida manager. I have contacted the Wyndham management again today to let them know the Florida manager has not respected their directive to contact me. Now it is wait and see what happens. To many problems with this hotel to explain. BAD management is the first thing that needs to be addressed and then the terrible condition of the facilities.

Rude! Surley desk attendant named 'John"
By kevin, 7/11/09
They never held the reservation. The front desk guy 'John' was very rude and cussed. You are SOL! They didn't have my reservations from AAA. But of course would do me a favor by putting me in another room I didn't want for more money. Seriously if you try to go here CALL to confirm your reservation a day before so they don't mess you over like they did me. They are very disorganized. They have inconvenienced me greatly!

Won't come back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/26/09
Staying here because my son's baseball team is staying here. Definitely not my choice of hotels. Not very clean and after reading the bedbug review not to sure how I am going to sleep tonight, and we are here until sunday. I guess if you just need a bed to sleep in and a roof over your head, it will do. The pool isn't open. The pool lights are sitting on the side of the pool and the vacuum hose is floating around the pool. Will definitely make the trip to the beach.

DO NOT STAY HERE YOU WON'T LIKE IT
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/25/09
This place is nasty. The carpet stinks so bad. The airconditioner leeked in our first room so they moved us to another room. It happened again so we spent 3 days with our floor flooded. I will never stay here again. The good reviews have to be from employees because I did not see any of the "nice" "clean" things that the 1 or 2 good reviews state. The only thing I can say good about it is this: The resturant is decent. The staff is friendly. I don't blame them but they really just tell you what you want to hear to get you off their back. They did not offer any compensation for the inconvience either.
