If you like being bothered every five minutes...
We picked the Omni in April of 09 b/c it was right across the street from the Landing, where we intended on spending most of our time. There is no balcony in the room, which immediately was a downfall, because we are both smokers. This was really our own fault though for not asking about when we got the room. The hotel guide clearly says night owl dining durin the hours between dinner and breakfast. In other words, 24 hour room service. At three in the morning, I called the front desk to get a chicken ceasar salad. They seriously told me they were out of food! So then around five in the morning, it began. We were in the bed asleep, and the maid knocks on the door and just barges on in. This continued on about four more times until I finally got up and put the do not disturb thing on the door. I know this should have been done prior to even going to sleep, but still this was really overkill... One of those four times, at about eight in the morning, a man knocks on the door, I said very loudly just a moment! I was wearing only a tank top, no pants. He STILL opens the door and stands there and tells me he needs to check the mini bar. I looked at him and I said can I please have a moment?? He was like oh yeah sure, after standing there for at least 10 seconds looking at me in my tank top. I was infuriated at that point. I will never go back to the Omni. The only plus to this hotel was that it is right across from the Landing, but there are many other hotels in the same area, so check those out.
